I got these two 5 coins today. As I understand it silver is the norm but the silver ones usually have the date numerals and OAKLEY FIVE on it like the gold one. As you can see my silver one has the 5 values on it. Does anyone know where this one came from? Does anyone know where the gold one came from?

I don’t think all of the sets had the gold version. There are some that came with the silver coins.

Engraved Five Values: I’ve only seen that once before. I assumed it is just a concept design before they finalized the final version, which is the same as the design on your gold coin. Bazooka would know, of course. If not, Takumi will as well.

I missed on the IG contest for the challenge coin. I did guess right that SI started in 2000 but someone answered more quickly than me.

Where can one get the new SI Elite coin? I would like to get just one before the speculators get 20 and sell for $300 each!

You can reach out the Oakley SI folks to see if you can get in their good graces and get one. There are probably a few boxes of those under someone's desk waiting to be given out.

I really should get off my ass and update the original post with an updated list of coins. I just don't know what to call the coins given out by that certain former Oakley employee over the summer.
