It arrived a day early. Cool collab. I didn’t pay attention to the earstem in the pictures; didn’t realize they were matte clear.

So Samuel Ross season 2. I saw a white M Frame and a Gascan. Plus other clothing I’m not remotely interested in. The glasses:

I don't remember the Gascan having that subtle wave to the brow line. I remember them being a straight edge on top all the way around from earstem to earstem. I guess Rick ruined them for me.

Looks like Matte Clear/Prizm Low Light is going to be more popular. Whatever it takes to not have another Polished White.

Yep, I'm diggin the Matte Clear/Prizm Low Light

I'm surprised there wasn't a Matte Clear Gascan already produced before now. Clear - yes, Matte Clear - no.

Not sure if I’ll grab anything from this collection, unless the M Frame is matte clear (which I doubt based on the pic):

M Frame is silver, if I remember correctly from when I saw the prototype last.

That’s too bad about the M Frame colour. The one time I was hoping they’d stick to their clear safety glass motif and they went in a different direction.

That's what it looks like in the YouTube video as well, they didn't zoom in as much as one would hope but it doesn't look clear.

The Gascan is semi-tempting for me since I missed the clear versions that were previously released.

I investigated in Japan. M-frame is a clear lens in a silver frame. There is nothing special logo. It is 26000 yen in Japanese yen. 3type is in a store in Harajuku, Japan

Thanks for the info!

I find it weird the eyewear has no icon and no signature:

Thursday, February 21, 2019 — Oakley® today announce a second season in partnership with Samuel Ross, designer and creative director behind *A COLD WALL.

Oakley by Samuel Ross Season 2 is focused the utility of garments within an outdoor narrative. The thirty-piece collection epitomizes the foundation of the Oakley by Samuel Ross project, evolving the breadth of the relationship between these two creative forces as Ross dives deeper into Oakley’s design and innovation heritage.

Unique material combinations and innovative production techniques are blended with abstract elements to convey a dynamic and ultra-futuristic story, as seen in Ross’ take on two iconic Oakley eyewear frames – the Gascan and M2 Frame – in transparent muted colors.

Ross has continued to explore outdoor intelligence by using water and wind repellent fabrics, welded seams and a packable backpack for functional experiences, while an abstract expressionist graphic treatment inspired by drip painting is seen throughout the designs.

Richer tones populate this season’s collections with expressive, diverse and impressionable landscapes. Chalk white glacier montages and abstracted woodland prints gel together, defining an innate sense of purposefulness and experimentation, as natural colors including lucid ochre yellow and frost blue support an essential palette of black, slate and brown, imploring the notion of a modern outdoors protagonist.

To utilize each garments’ potential, layers of innovation have been implemented through various forms of color theory, material story and experimental shape on Italian nylons – providing effortless functionality and allowing for individual interpretations of the collection.

Samuel Ross commented: “For season 2, my primary focus has been to naturally evolve the breadth of my collaboration with Oakley. As the partnership has grown, our shared notion of the modern outdoor protagonist feels more defined – expression fused with function.”

Oakley by Samuel Ross Season 2 will include an exclusive selection of eyewear , clothing and accessories. The collection will be available at www.oakley.com, flagship Oakley Stores, Slam Jam and selected retailers worldwide in Spring 2019.

$153-163 for the GC. $183 for the M Frame.

Gascan Matte brown/prizm grapefruit blank
Gascan matte clear/light blue
M Frame silver/clear (ballistic M Frame? Doubtful, but that's the file name of the Oakley pics)

Hard to say. The regular Strike is an OO9024 SKU, as we only knew from that one addball MPH edition a few years back. Most of the M Frames had the 5-digit skus.

The M Frame lens looks like it is a 2.0/3.0 Strike lens which appears to be the Agro version. Agro has even wider coverage than the original Strike. Oakley did not change the name of the wider version but the SI Ballistic models I have gotten recently come with the wider Agro version.
