I'm just glad to hear there is going to be more X-Metals after almost 2 year hiatus of any new designs. I keep hoping Jim will pop in & ask us to help him name a new model. That would be fookin awesome!

slick rick: No its not Penny 2, its just a CUSTOM Penny!! A Penny with 'Ruby Quartz' lens and 'side blinders'... Made only for the movie.. Just like the Custom Juliet in X-Men 1st movie (^-^)

Some of you must have selective memory. 2007 is on par with the time between all the other X-Metal releases. There's only been 6 released in 7 years.

Yeah, it's just the same type of modified Penny as was featured in X2. In fact, a former OR member was lucky enough to score himself an authentic Oakley-produced replica of those glasses.

It's funny how well the penny fits him. I don't think he has a small face and I cannot understand why the Juliets couldn't fit him better.

I hope the new X metal comes with more sizes for the temple shox and nosebombs. Reading between the lines from the above posts, I get the feeling the new X metal is not a half rim model. =)

I'm just speculating now but I do think that the name will not follow a current model, remembering that Romeo 2.0 was so named possibly because of the inherent defect in the earlier Romeo. Juliets and Penny do not have any such problems.

I'm thinking Mag Switch as well... it looks kind of Gascan and that is the way the wind is blowing nowadays.

That's what I wanted to know, is it based on a current X Metal design or another model?
