My grails are definitely the complete collection of Signature/Limited Holbrooks, along with possibly getting all the standard colourways.

I'm also slowly working on getting all four nicky hayden signature series as well, I've got 2/4 right now.

None of my grails are as exciting as you guys', but hey, I'm just starting out, haha.

as for my crown jewel, easily my STPL Holbrooks, no question.

YOU decide what's exciting, don't be modest!

There's no such thing as a lesser OAKLEY QUEST.

I find most Nicky Hayden Sig. pieces to be awesome.

Exactly, it's your collection so you decide what your Crown Jewel and Grail are. Personally, mine was the completed artist series. My Crown Jewels are my 2 Who is this Kid? Hijinx and my Tron Pit Boss (which is on the way). Good luck in your quest.

My crown jewels are of the lesser variety: My favorites are far and away my first-gen Straight Jackets. If I had to choose between a White Text Gascan and a Yellow SJ, I'd pick the SJ each and every time. The beauty of this site is everyone likes something different. For example, everyone seems to dig the Splice, the Hatchet, and the Plate. Yeah, they're cool, but not for me. The Hatchet was my only case of Oakley Buyer's Remorse, and my Plate was very cheap, so I picked it up on general principle.

With that said, a couple of my (also lesser) grails are the TorchWear SJs and the Matte Clear ones.

That's a good point, haha, but amidst the Medusa's, OTT's, Crystal BOBs and the like, the nicky hayden series or the whole Holbrook collection is a slightly more modest grail. Which I'm perfectly fine with.

I agree with you on the Nicky Hayden Sig's, my first pair of Oakleys were the Nicky Hayden oil rigs, so that series holds a special place in my heart as a collector, and after he came out with a signature holbrook I knew I had to grab the Eyepatch and the Jupiter as well. Luckily neither are too difficult to find.

I really love this thread, I feel like its a real in site into a collector.

1) My Double wide case, I got for 100% FREE

2) David Flores 1, because of its beauty and rarity.

I have no grails really...nothing that makes me want to throw tons of money at it...
I think I have switched gears and I am more interested in revisiting the lesser popular items that have been passed or overlooked along the way. The olive green Canteens look pretty cool...stuff like that.

My holy grail is both versions of the C100 gascans. I've decided that I will aim to get each and every version of the Gascans I can find. My quest begings at dawn....

This is true...I have been lucky here and there.
I think I meant that I cant think of holy grails, so much as stumble across things along the way that become possible grails later on. Some grails of mine I didnt realize existed until I found them.
Anyway, I am happy to share what I find with you guys, its the best part...otherwise they just sit in displays.

I figured if you're going to try to get all of the gascans you may as well have an idea of what you're looking for.

no worries Paul, i just thought that you knew something i didn't with regards to the c100 gascans! =) anyway, to add to this thread, my previous holy grail was to complete the artist series like Stephen. i'm glad to say that's done, more or less, all i'm lacking are the other 49 pettersons. =) so for now, my holy grail hunt is for a pair of Moda3 frogs. anyone have a spare pair lying around that they do not need? ha! =)

Just in case someone's looking to pick up one of these crazy holy grails.....one of the last "Oakley" items I thought I'd ever see locally.

Very cool to read the article about this boat. Looks like it would be a looker out on the lake.Interesting though he is using the stock photos from when it was first sold.
