There are threads galore about favourite glasses, best products, most inventive product, etc, but not much discussion has taken place regarding display items. Up until a couple years ago, Oakley was known for their unique and cool displays, cases, stands, and rep material.

Given the large amout of display items out there, what would you say are your favourite display items? What would you say is the most inventive? It doesn't matter whether you own it or not.

The triple wide - the aircraft carrier of Oakley sunglasses! Truly titanic in height & girth!

My list:

1) Crystal Bob heads - Amazingly cool and unique. I don't think any company could match something like this.
2) Shadowhead - Same as above and more useful, though not as attention grabbing.
3) Medicine cabinet - I love the fact that this hangs off the doublewide.
4) Single and double stands - the original stands are what everyone wanted when they got a pair of Oakleys they really love. A true classic.
5) The original Cube - Frames your most prized Oakley glasses better than any other display out there.

Secondary nods go to things like the metal/ballistic rep cases, metal vaults, and six foot display cases.

Wow Oak this a biggie! such an excellent idea for a thread

1 the mega tower - the perfect display piece
2 shadow head - inspired design
3 crystal bob head - inspired design taken further
4 Hangman torso - an extension of the head
5 2 unit hingeless - of all the glasses stands this I like the most

like you say nods to hanger 2.0,, watch display, thump display, rep cases.
so difficult to to choose.

I don't have many displays, but I like my cage, torso bob, and single tower.

I have very very few display items, in fact, I think I can count them on one hand.

1) Single display stand
2) Double display stand
3) Polarized bob head display
4) Rx lens vault
5) Small cube black display (was meant for hockey visors I think) has 2 tiers

My favourite display item though, is that audio bob head. I've only seen the picture here, and have never heard it play, but man, what a fun and functional piece.

Damn you Ken! You stole my centerpiece!
Being that I'm such a huge fan of the Penny, the 1-Unit X-Metal Display is probably my favorite display piece. It showcases my Penny just the way a holy grail should be.

Next to that would be a Double Wide (display possibilities are endless!) and the hard-to-find Stretch Tower. The single and double eyewear stands are quite awesome, too. Really helpful to maximize space.

its hard to list this because towers are always great but a single piece that displays a single pair of glasses would have to be the acrylic bob head. hands down

I'm with a lot of you on the acrylic Bob head.
The "new" double wide black towers are also at the top of the list for me.

I almost feel the towers and cubes can't quite qualify for me because they are just too darn useful. Most of the awesome Oakley stuff is just damn cool and totally useless - Medusa, Claw Caribeener, FDH, FDB.

My pick for display items, then, would probably be along the lines of acrylic bob head, HJ and RX lens display/box, and that sweet contraption that was a mix of a bob head and those two massive spikes aimed at it.

I. Triple Wide (three times the coolness)
II. Watch Attache case (super rare)
III. Rep Attache suitcase (more common)
IV. Romeo I watch box-(aluminum shoebox size-approaching unobtainable status)

Pictures/ links would really help - at least for members like me who aren't familiar with all of these items

Just saying... it's easier to give a name and pic to my wife and say Christmas, birthday, etc...

Good call on the Polarized Bob head sign, Mike. I forgot about that, and it's one of my favorites as well. Very, very cool display item.

What's your missing four, Francios? And I agree with Eric (shockingly). Beautiful picture.

Travis, I love that Co-Pilot display. Now all you have to do is place him on a motorized turntable, weigh him down nicely, and put the backpack on him.
I think I'm gonna have to try and finagle my OPD's Torso Bob...
