Google's coming up with some crazy cool, mad scientist-level stuff like contact lenses to measure blood sugar:

The Ryno Microcycle....a motorcycle-unicycle. Not sure if I'd ever ride on something like this, but it does have a futuristic coolness to it:

The presentation gf the upcoming Han Kjøbenhavn collection is done in a quite cool way: http://www.highsnobiety.com/2014/02/07/han-kjobenhavn-fall-winter-2014-collection/

Somewhat Oakley-esque, reminds me of the old days ;-)

Honeywell now has the Lyric, which has a very noticeable and deliberate resemblance to the Nest Thermostat. Cool stuff:

Only a matter of time, it seemed. Definitely more engaging and tech-friendly than normal thermostats. But even after checking out the Nest some time ago, they all seem to be geared for those that don't ever mess with programming the thermostat to begin with (which statistically is seemingly a lot of folks).
