Are these not available direct anymore for applying to glasses that didn't come with the coating? I can't find on o.com, google just pulls up oversas links.

I wouldn't waste your time/money. I got one when they were available at the o stores. Very disappointed with the results.

The supposed kit that's to apply it to lenes that don't have it, comes with 3 pads so it can only be used on three sets of lenses.
Whats the review on the kit work or not can you send anything in and have it coated?

There is a brand new kit that will be in stores soon. It is completely different in that you don't have 3 different moist wipes to "prime" the lenses then a spray to us. All you will have to do is apply the solution evenly over the lens, let it dry, and wipe off the excess.

That's pretty good news to look forward to, thanks John.

I did one of the original hydrophobic kits before ... but know I don't quite know which pairs I did the treatment too. So I have a whole lotta spray with not much to do. I actually cheated a little bit and stretched each prep pad over 2 pairs, so I could try to eek out 6 pairs with the original kit.

The new kit actually works pretty well, kind of like a hydrophobic highlighter. Coat the whole lens, let it bead up and buff off with a micro cloth. Way better system than the old one, hydro works better too, not perfect but way better

I know this is a tangent to the whole kit. Anyone notice that the hydrophobic/oleophobic coat is now available on oakley's new digital rx lenses?

Not sure when they'll be available online, but I've seen them in a couple of retailers here in AZ.

That option has been available for at least a year. I remember trying to convince my mother to get a pair instead of her normal Walmart Optical ones. The option was available on the SI site, at least...
