Don't have another MD to compare too, but just got a pair of Brown Smoke? MD and they don't have monster dog or model info on the ear stem. They do have the made in USa on the right earstem though.

Anyone who has a similar pair check to see if this is the case for you as well?

thanks in advance!

no brown smoke made.

Whiskey
Brown Fade
Bronze
Brown Tortoise

Show me a pic of what you have. All but tortoise are early and some don't have the lettering on the arm. Usually they aren't cam lok either. Model #'s started just prior to Lux buyout (go figure) so that's a non issue

Sorry about the confusion on the color.

It's brownish, not tortoise. Polarized lenses and gold icons.
I"ll post pics in a bit.

Do you know how to do the polarization test David?

Hold the frame like you would normally wear them up to an LCD screen. Rotate them and if they screen appears black through them, then they are polarized.

If this doesn't work, you most likely have some fakes. Also, the "polarized" etching even being there is a good indication that they're real. Most fakers don't spend the time/money to put polarized lenses into fakes.

then they aren't stock. None came with gold polar lenses. If they are real at all. Safe to say they aren't stock, and good chance they aren't real by the initial sound of it. I still have close to all dogs released and a few not, so I can tell you quick with a pic. Could be a dark amber with bronze polar

They do look like bronze polar. And yes, they're polar. I did the test already with the LCD screen. They go black at 45 degrees, just like all my other Oakley polar stuff.

Looks like the seller may have done a lens replacement.

The glasses are pretty hammered.
