I just got my H.I. Persimmon lens Splices today, and wow, I'm completely blown over by the contrast on these. I LOVE it. Everything is so vibrant! I mean I noticed that with fire iridium, and to a lesser extent 24k, but this is far better.

Which oakley lens offers the highest contrast? Is H.I. blue any better than H.I. Persimmon? I need more contrast!!

G30 lens review has someone saying: it's understated for increased contrast, maximum contrast is more like it. :)

G26...
So high that you can't really use it for anything other than shooting.

HI Blue/Yellow are both really high contrast.

To compare them to Persimmon, you'd need the transmission graphs that are in the warranty papers.
Looking at the curves for Yellow and Persimmon, Yellow has high transmission across the board, while Persimmon slightly less on the lower wavelengths.

I agree G26.
But it is interesting that the Persimmon would be brighter(?) than the H.I. Yellow.

Man I REALLY need to get some HI Blue, and G26 Juliet lenses cut. Have to pick up some G30s too. Contrast rules =D

Do you guys think that it would be possible to cut decent H.I. Persimmon juliet lenses from a plutonite goggle shield? A Carbon / H.I. Persimmon with blue unobtanium Juliet combo would be out of this world.

That would be a negitive. The lens of the goggle is not strong enough to be cut to shape. You will end up with distortion all over the place. Not to mention hurting a pefect par of goggles. In thery it would be cool!!!!

yeah.... if ever I get the chance to B.T.O. (pretty much my ultimate oakley goal) I think that's what I'd go for. That's too bad =(

H.I. Persimmon isn't available in M-Frame is it?.... if I'm not mistaken it's only splice/goggles/half jacket right?
