I don't get why everyone thinks Zidane was an odd choice for the Golden Shoe.

France made it to the final, but without Zidane they wouldn't even have qualified. They're too old, and too one-dimensional, and he is the only creative spark on that team.

Where did Fabio Grosso come from? He more or less single-handedly got Italy through their two toughest tests- Australia and France- but I've never heard of him before.

I think Henry is one of the best strikers in the world. Zidane is not the only player on the french team. Vierra is also a very talented player.
