I just think the weight of the Time Tank is not as big a deal as some people are making it out to be. I've got a Judge and a GMT and believe me when I say, I don't put the Time Tank on and say to myself "If only this thing was heavier"

I don't own either, but have held & closely inspected both, and I still feel that the Timebomb is the best Oakley watch out there. The Tank is way too "busy" looking IMO. Not that the Tank is a bad watch or anything, but the 'Bomb is still the "Bomb".

I looked at the Time Tank a fine watch for pimping... but not the timebombs equal IMHO.

Go with the Timebomb.

Time Tank might be too much to handle for some people, but calling it a piece of trash is just plain ignorant. I know you're new to the Review, but try putting a little more thought into your posts before making an ass of yourself.

agree with Rick here. You cannot make a comment like that on something if you don't even own one... or both

MY GOD!!! How could one call the Time Tank Trash? I had it in my hands again today and held off (only because there are 2 Timebombs I must buy 1st) and it is a very nice watch. Demands more attention than the Timebomb, and really, who would want a watch that size to be HEAVIER? It is balanced nicely between crazy freakish design (Oakley's best trait) and elegant.

It is a very well designed watch IMHO and I would much rather spend the money on 2-3 Time Tanks vs. the money on 1 Rolex Submariner...It may not have the equal in the internals, but it's style is not played out like the Submariner, and really is like no other. If you want to be like everyone else, feel free. If you want to be different and innovative, go with the Tank...

Obviously you people are too brandwashed to know what a REAL watch is like.

are you for real? In your definition then, what defines a real watch? Is it cost, reputation, cost of maintenance, style, internals? Please enlighten us all. I know of many watches that far exceed anything the Time Tank is capable of or will ever be, but let's be realistic, they are far far more expensive, and unless you are a collector, they are worthless to the average or even above average buyer.

I myself have considered the Rolex Yachtmaster w/platinum face, which is a beautiful watch, but $7800 is a bit absurd for it's core function. A Time Tank will draw as much as, if not more attention, and will leave me with an additional $6200 to put towards many other items. Unless you are buying a Patek Philippe, you really are buying style and status. Not all Rolex, Tag, Omega, or the likes appreciate in value, so what would make them any more superior of a timepiece than that of the Time Tank, or even a Time Bomb?

No, you don't know what a real watch is like.

As I said before, you're all brandwashed.

The watch is booty. End of story. It's design is something that'd appeal to the imagination of a child, and I doubt most parents are gonna fork over 1k + for some rinky-dink, truck-looking/sized watch.

And as far as a 'real' watch goes? Go take a gander at Tourneau or London Jewlers.

I checked out the Torneuau watches, and don't get it. What makes it a real watch? 18kt gold? Alligator leather strap? Please enlighten this humble servant, oh Grand High Duke Master of the Order of Impervious Brand Washity.

Boy, the swear filter really doesn't take any prisoners.

It's styling, and Oakleys reach-for-the-stars price point for such a hideous watch.

It's okay, I only dropped by to gather some info on Rubys before I purchased 'em anyway; no need to 'watch my words' as longevity ain't a word in my dictionary!

Anyway, Oakley is a pretty lame company nowadays. Just think about it. Anyone remember the good ol' days of the Lab Coat 2.0? Their entire lineup at that time was GOLDEN. It was incredible. Everything was of superb quality and function teeming with that trademark aggressive styling. Now that aggressive styling has been reduced to obtrusive designs.

Meh.

Believe me, I know how you feel.

The styling of Time Tank is supposed to be in-your-face (like a... truck), and that's the charm of it. Not to many people's tastes if you're used to standard offerings, I admit. Torneau watches and etcetera evoke the same reaction from me as does a cuckoo clock, but if that's your thing, I ain't gonna get on your case for it.

the price is quite low in comparison to many equivalent watches...it is terribly funny to hear the rants without fact...If you don't like the watch, that is your perogative, nobody will "TRASH" you for it, but when you flame something, be prepared to be proved wrong...be polite in the expression of your views..."Brandwashed" are those who have no open mindness to something new or different.

If by in-your-face you mean a toddler waving a plaything incessantly, then yes. They nailed it.

Overthetop- How untrue! I reckon you can buy a timex for $15 at a drugstore.
