Our most famous Japanese member is home in Canada.

I hope all the others are safe.
There seems to be to many natural tragedies of late

I hope everybody was OK. You said Rick was in Canada, right? If not, I hope he is OK.

Thanks for the concern guys, but Mike is right; I am back in Canada for a month of so. I did live in Niigata where the latest quake occured back in 1997. This prefecture has been hit hard by quakes in the past few years. Our first year in Tokyo was 2004 and that year a huge quake hit Niigata and killed quite a few.

A friend in Tokyo went around to our apartment to make sure everything is fine. I'm waiting to hear, but I'm not too worried. Our building is pretty good at absorbing quakes.

Everything is fine, but that mega-quake was felt in Tokyo as were the aftershocks.
