Anyone else know anything about engraving watches?

I found a guy who has a stealth Blade II that was engraved for those with Yamaha Vmax's(a killer motorcycle). It was given to people who work at Yamaha.

Anyone know anything about these? Does Oakley engrave them or do you think this was after-market?

There are several of those "Brand/Event Specific" watches out there. There was one done for a football bowl game, the Yamaha, and a couple others I have seen. You are safe with authenticity...

I'm not so much worried about authenticity as I am knowing all the different kinds out there. I wonder if there is a list of somekind.

CRAP! This is what I was talking about! In that old post that got moved to off-topic or locked or whatever. Did he say how he got it? I work for a Yamaha dealer part time and we JUST got the Vmax in. The owner was at the dealer show. I wonder why he didn't get a watch.

I'm trying to figure out more, but he said that his father worked for Yamaha and that's how he got it. I wouldn't imagine Oakley tossing in a $500+ watch in with every Vmax. I'm not sure though, I'm guessing his dad worked higher up.

I saw one of these on eBay like 2-3 days ago...I don't know if it's still on there, but if you're interested, it's worth taking a look...

I'm going to have to print these pictures out and send them to the guys at the dealership to check again. I know that Ducati contracted out to Breil to product a watch. I also know that Yamaha has had watches and other things from premium manuf. in the past as part of the access. catalog. Hopefully this is another case and I can snag one through the delearship.

thx
