So, last year, I decided I would finally get a motorcycle licence, which I did.
First bike I bought was a 2019 Honda CB650R Perfect bike to learn how to ride.

But I knew I wanted to upgrade quickly, so I just bought the 2021 Honda CB1000R full black edition.

The 650 was already amazing, at all levels.
But the 1000 is just another game. It's wonderful.

145hp, very natural handling/balance, great feel.
I couldn't be happier with that upgrade.

So... I changed again.

It's just a different world.
Switching from a very agile naked bike to a heavy power cruiser of 2.5L engine. The power and torque is ridiculous, in a very pleasing way.
Laughing in my helmet at every full throttle acceleration.
That thing is not very fit for the very cornery roads of the alpine passes, but it's amazing nonetheless.

That is AWESOME! Congrats man!

If I didn't already have the clear frame/low light EJ Redux I'd definitely be building a custom. Still tempted to with different lenses and icons. I'd love to see the Hydra have a clear frame custom option.

I recall years ago, there was supposed to be a line where jeans would be in that $500 range. I think the diesel jacket was the only thing to come off it. Never took off, but this was in the Jim days.

Agree though. I can't even afford the standard releases these days. - Dann

I think I remember hearing about those jeans. I also remember seeing some crazy ones that were released - not sure if it was win the USA or overseas - but they had some features of the AP line, the metal triangle shaped metal "loop" holes come to mind. They were either called X-Metal Denim or Salvage Denim. Tags say Salvage.

I have two pairs of these jeans :D
Got them in an Oakley Vault for 50euros at the time. Good ol' days - BiGCoB

Nice!!! That's awesome!

The other annoying thing is it seems no matter what I put in my cart - "old," just released, apparel, eyewear - almost everything says LIMITED STOCK. For sh!ts and giggles I put in my wishlist. Like 25 items - all of them but 1 said LIMITED STOCK. Ha Ha. Really? I know it's not always accurate but how do you know which items it's telling the "truth" about and which it's not. The site isn't the best. An elitist brand's web presence should be top notch. They've got some work to do.

wait a couple years and this will be everywhere half price.
There's a sale at the moment on a french /european website with the FGL collection all halfprice.
Funny to go elitist and end up on sales websites... Actually, kind of ironic. - BiGCoB

Agreed - a lot of it will be available at lower prices later on. I also think it's ironic that you go this route and it ends up on sale sites. Even more ironic is right now Oakley is having an "up to 40% off" sale and after a quick look I see some Latitude SS25 pieces included. Actually I should've said some pieces that were recently released with the Latitude collection but not part of it. It was just released and it's on sale on their own site already. I'm not surprised because that's how I got my Latitude Arc pants - the ones that were retailing for $160 - got them for $96 - because Oakley was running a similar sale not long after the pants were released. At the time I was surprised they were included in a sale so soon and for I think 40% off. The funny thing is looking at the current prices the $160 for the Latitude Arc pants isn't so bad. It's really not and I don't think I was phased by the $160 price tag. Of course I wished they retailed for less but thought it was par for the course for a more premium product. But gosh darn $340 for the Latitude Flex Tech pants from FW24 and $270 for the current Latitude Flight Cargo pants is pushing it.

Sorry for the ramble. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. LOL

I'm sure you've seen the Latitude SS25 collection by now. Caio says "this is just the 1st morphological stage!"
I'm a bit bummed by the pricing. Actually the pricing for most of the Latitude AFA even before this SS25 collection release has been high. I expect the more technical and premium pieces to carrying a higher price tag. The initial Latitude pieces I think reflected that. Then the FW24 Latitude releases the pricing reached a practically outrageous level. Beyond a premium price. Approaching a luxury brand level. Especially since we're taking about Oakley. It's never been a luxury brand with prices like vollebak: https://vollebak.com/en-us $595 for jeans.

I've talked about it before - so again, I think they're alienating their core - the fans that have been with them for decades - to pursue this luxury brand status. If they're truly going after that then - dare I say it - everything should cost more even the eyewear. I'm not talking X-Metal MUZM releases or limited pieces, I mean all of it. How can you price the flagship AFA with these inflated numbers and leave everything else alone? Not sure I understand what they are trying to accomplish with only pricing the Latitude Collection like this.

Definitely interesting where design inspiration comes from, clever, unique and at times kinda logical. I'll have to check that link out above that you posted. But my first thought usually when I see interviews of Yee's and his instagram posts about Oakley design and his designs is that he should - if he legally could - put out his own design book. I'd buy it!

I would wear that :D - BiGCoB

I might wear it but I'm definitely interested in it for the collection. I know it's weird to some people to buy stuff and not wear it. I think I wear only 25% of what I have. This might fall into the 75% of being admired and not worn.

I don’t think that’s a woman’s frame. - Defenderoftheo

I’m thinking it’s not. From what I’ve read today it also seems that it’s the “first of 5 big innovations this year.” So one source said 2026 and this is saying this year - 2025. Typical Oakley with the inconsistent info.
