Hi O-guys,

Here's a spanish expat living in Switzerland.

Oakley collector since long time ago and owner of "some" pairs already. Mainly focused in sport ones as I not only show them but use them on the bike :-)

Cheers

It would probably be easiest to source a beater frame and part it out. The Parts and service site does not list any of those parts for sale. - MicahS

I think I have some at home.

I will try this weekend. One of my questions is as well about building it up and disabling it beforehand. As I expect to be tricky...

hi all,

I realised I have this Radarlock in my Vault and I would like to use it. It is a Red Tiger prototype that did not come to the market.

I need some spare parts like the nose bridge, the lock and the junction bolts... is it possible to purchase them somewhere??

Hi all, I found this web with some fancy Radarlock models... do you have any insight?

Wow I’ve never seen that version before. Custom you think? Or one offs made for sponsored cyclists? - HED4JC

Exactly, it was made for sponsored cyclists only.

Nope, the one like this. The long-tailed one

I am still looking for a long-tailed ARO7... :-( - cmunozh

They were selling for super cheap at vault locations. - HED4JC

Wait what?. is it possible to have a link or so? I meant the long-tailed, the short one is not my cup of tea :-(

What finally changed your mind ?

I went for a walk with my toddler and I checked they were quite uncomfortable. Either I used the big nose gummies and the hydra were too high on my face or I used the standard ones and the hydra was holding basically at my nose directly (leaving a marc at the nose top). I knew I would have issues wearing them so I asked for a return.

I went running with them and felt the stems sliding on my head.
Also, there are some sharp edges on the frame, probably where front and back molds meet.
Pretty disappointing.
Luckily, they look good. Otherwise, that would have been an immediate return.

I wrote yesterday to the shop asking for a return :-(

Do we have any review comparing those with (Razor)Blades?

I suppose the stems are replaceable with the normal ones, right? I mean... I don't like the metal ones but I like a lot the "broken" normal ones.

A pair of Hydra for cheap.
But you get what you pay for...
Frame is not so great, with poor finish.
BiGCoB

I ll see mine this week. I ordered the Tenis ball.
- cmunozh

I hope you don't have set your expectations too high :)
They look very nice, but finish is below Oakley standard... maybe below gaz station sunglasses - BiGCoB

Well, they arrived yesterday, and well... I was expecting a more sporty stuff. I miss some rubber at the stems and as I thought (despite some mates claim you can use the Jawbone rubbers), the lens is too "flat" despite the frame isnt...

... I will use them on the bike at some point, I hope I don't see flying hydras like I did with flying Sutros (the standard, not the S version that I like a lot) while going downhill or mountain pass.

Glad to see they are doing something for the Giro finally. Surprised they don't do anything for Ironman Hawaii, outside of the event itself. - Patient_Cero

I think "they did" or used the pink fade back at the Giro (I think when Carapaz won), but not officially. I saw many riders just with that color scheme.

About Kona... have they ever done smth officially? I remember they had an athlete store or smth like a safe house but nothing more.
