Been using strictly Oakley for many years, but just recently got into collecting. My Favorite pair is the Pit Boss Tron, though I have a pair of X-Metal Romeos with some Gold Lenses I installed, which gets a lot of face time. Before falling down the rabbit hole, it was the Matte Black Pit Boss 2.
I also collect whisk(e)y, cuban cigars and Icon motorcycle helmets..
Remember back in the good ole days you could immediately pick out which goggles were Oakley and which were not. Now you have to be told which goggles are Oakley because they've all gone generic. I saw these in my email this morning and thought immediately it was a faux spam email because they look like 100% goggles.
Colours are kinda cool though which is nice to see. I wish I had bought the TripleCrown Airbrake when it came out. That was a nice goggle ! - ooSnip3r
After some googling, that’s a sick pair! When did they come out?
I don’t know when the Oakley Travel Retail Exclusive program began. Most of it is pretty tame and can be had via regular release or the OCP, which is why I haven’t followed it through the years, but I’m assuming the first exclusive was the 2011 Fuel Cell and the the program officially as a “thing” in 2014. But I’m just guessing. Anyway, some stuff:
As much as I like JW, I hope the series closes off so that Keanu can work on BRZRKR. The BRZRKR comic is pretty cool, so it can definitely turn into another great live action franchise. - Oak
