Thanks, Bob! That was really nice of you to check for me.

I was starting to worry that this was too good to be true and the ones I ordered were going to end up being something different when I opened the box, like bronze with gold icons. Got them today, and they're the right ones!

Great news! I just found and bought what appears to be the last pair on the internet.

Dr. Chop, are the Pups you have Brown Smoke / T.I. Polarized?

Ken, as tempting as that sounds, it wouldn't fix the shades.

Sorry to hear about the Split Jackets, Nate. That dog treat probably cost twice as much as mine did.

I just went and picked them up. They're even worse than I thought. Makes me sick.

A friend of mine is looking to get a pair of prescription M-Frames for cycling, so I let him borrow two pairs of Monster Pups to wear and see which lens tint he liked better.

Today he came to my office and told me his dog chewed the ear stem off one of them. He feels terrible and offered to buy me new ones. The lenses are fine, so I only need the frames. Of course, the dog only thought the irreplaceable ones would taste good. It couldn't be the rust text pair that I can easily find on eBay for around $50. It had to be the brown smoke pair that I can now only find with gold icons. I called Oakley and they said those frames are long gone. Past D2 status. Bummer.

Does anyone have any idea where I could find a small shop somewhere that might be sitting on some old inventory, or maybe even someone one here who has a pair they'd like to sell me? http://www.o-review.com/glassesdetail.asp?ID=3253

I never knew General MacArthur's staff sported Oakley merchandise!

I opened the box for my double tier stand yesterday, and also found a sticker and a card holder as an unexpected bonus. Thanks DisturbedEarth!

I thought it would be a great spot to put my grandfather's vintage business card.

I was reading through the names figuring mine wasn't on there after I got down to the third one. Then suddenly I noticed mine at the bottom. Sweet!

Has anyone ever bought a pair of Oakleys to commemorate the loss of a loved one?

About two weeks ago, we had my cat Zoe put down because of liver failure. She was a wonderful companion ever since I've been out on my own, and I took it pretty hard. Every single morning for the past 8 years, Zoe would sit and wait for me to get out of the shower. Even on her last day she still made sure she was there to greet me even though she was in pain. The first day she wasn't waiting to say "good morning" was pretty rough, so I did the only sensible thing and jumped onto Oakley's web site to create a custom pair of shades in her memory. Grey with green eyes. I call them "Zoakleys".

Since my wife is currently laid off and they weren't very cheap, we decided we should probably wait to buy them. Ken Siverts (Heglock) heard this and he wasn't going to have it. He emailed me a copy of the order with a message saying "No worries. They're on their way." That was such a thoughtful thing to do. Thanks so much, Ken!

I hear you, Defender. I never thought I'd get so messed up over a cat.
