It's funny how feverish people here were about the deep red Ruby back in 2005-ish. That hue was difficult to achieve consistently, so eventually more orange variants would slip out. It was made worse by the screen-worn Juliets in X-Men, which weren't meant to be worn outside the movie. Now it's everywhere with ease.
