Mine's on it's way back and hopefully it won't happen again. I really do wear them a lot. Maybe time to invest in a backup pair. Makes me weary to buy the FC too and I really want one.

Buy it for the collection anyway. I don't wear my Splice's anymore, even though they're my favorite pair. Stupid compulsions to keep things mint.

Resurrecting an older thread here.

Now that more people have had fade frames for a while, has Oakley fixed the fade problem? Is it only certain pairs that suffer from it or do all of them?

Even when my replacement frame arrived from the above it already had a small chip in it's finish as well. Haven't been wearing them as much too notice it getting any worse again, but I don't believe it's completey resolved. I know some have a slick finish and some a bit matte, thought that was the solution, but still don't know. I do have the backup pair now though.
