Anyone ever buy the AP vest and actually use it? I feel like it seems pretty impractical. I think itd be a cool prank to put it on, some black pants, and some Wardens and pretend youre a cop.

I also think the girls AP vest looks better than the guys...hmmm.

I ALSO remember someone saying they had an AP vest hookup or something...anyone else remember that? It was like around Christmas time.

I just had the opportunity to compare the old AP Vests to the re-released ones, and I noted the following differences on the new one:

1) Missing logo badge.
2) Hardware is brush grey instead of brushed chrome/silver.
3) Didn't have the loops on the inside bottom or the button fasteners on the bottom.
4) Different "made of"/washing instructions tag.
5) Slighting different size tag
6) One person noticed that the new ones seem a bit thiner, but I couldn't really tell.

I'm glad there are differences between the new version and the old one. I'm also sure those that paid the crazy price of $400-500 for them a few months ago feel the same way.

They should also take solace in the fact that they just went from owning an AP Vest, to a 1st Generation AP Vest. Probably just doubled the value. I'm not even jokin'.

Oh, and one more thing: If you tap on the new AP Vest's hardware, you will find that it sounds less dense and lighter than the old AP Vests. The hardware quality of the new AP Vest is clearly a lot lower than the old ones. For our purposes, however, it's plenty sufficient, and I love the new ones as much as the old ones.
