But Honda seems to be doing pretty well in Fri's prac 2....SO there may b a huge surprise to the general public...few more hrs to sat ptrac and qualifying....:)
not so much for the teams and drivers i guess as several top drivers like ALonso, Shumi and Kimi has voiced concerns about Honda's threats....as least from what i have read....
Now Button would be the ideal man to lead the charge of the Honda engine after the late Senna....could not see others doing the smae things....call me bias...but i dislike Alonso and montoya and hoping for kimi to go Ferrari...that only leaves Button being the other top driver available....that said..,,,my ultimate dream team would be to see both button and kimi driving for Ferrari after shumi retires...and hopefully soon to freshen things up....
Being a fan of Coulthard, I hope he'll get some more luck this year. Schumacher should be driven off the track like he's done twice with Hill / Villeneuve. Albers should learn to work in stead of talk and Doornbos will get a seat before midseason.
I miss the Good ole days of the Mid 90's when the racing was fun.
Ever since they brought in the Grooved tyres F1 has gone down hill.
I'm still a big fan of Villenuve so hopefully he can get back to some of his former glory.

I am suspecting a light Fuel load for the Ferraris!!
Considering the pole timing that shumi achieved was not faster than the times Alonso set in the 2nd session of qualifying....
But fingers crossed that this is not a fluke and shumi and ferrari will go on to win....
And did i say more luck for the super unlucky Kimi...yet another failure of the car....rear suspension i think this time was....this guy should have been multiple world chapm by now with a little more luck and not driving from the last row ever so often becos of the unreliability of the Mclaren!!
Yeah i miss the good old days of F1 too!!
there was so much overtaking then....and teams dont just win becos of good race strategy!!
they win becos of a superior pakcage in car, driver and strategy!! and this would change from team to teams over the races...which definitely makes it more exciting....
For the pass couple of years it became so boring that i dozed off for a couple of races while watching, it had never happen in the past...(being in Australia/Singapore, most races are usually shown in the wee hours of the night...or close to that)
Now i would say more importance are placed on the car then the driver...correct me if i m wrong....
Qually was great today, but they need to sort that third session out. How about just submitting to the FIA how much fuel they want to use for the start of the race before qualifying and then doing the third session on low fuel like the other two?
It'd cut the crap of that 10 minute procession of burning off fuel. Otherwise I thought it was great and exciting, we need better graphics from FOM though.
