Just notice that a dark gray/ice bottlecap was added to the database as a UK exclusive. Has anyone seen it yet? I'm wondering if it has blue icons like the gascan. If not, one could just order that combo as a BTO, and it would be pointless to look for it. I was never a big fan of the style, but if there's and exclusive coloryway i'd be interested in obtaining it.

And in Canada. The Icons are gunmetal AFAIK.

Oh ok, like I said I really dont care for the Bottlecaps, but I'm trying to get at least one of every style and the Bottlecaps arent really giving me a reason to get them right now. Maybe I'll just wait for the transition ones to come out.

I am glad Bill asked the question, me and otheres were also wondering as to why even release a combo like that because of the BTO program coming.

I could understand if it had ice polarized or at least if it had a signature or blue icons, but since its not the case, its kind of mind boggling I think.

Dark Grey / Ice has been available for a long time already though. Almost since the initial release I think.

Appreciate it. They aren't bad, just nothing special. I wish the Big-O would've paid a little more attention to these. Its like they put all of their energy into the Monsterdogs and forgot about making these interesting.

I guess I'll be the one to stand up and proudly proclaim "Hey! Bottlecaps are a great selection for Oakley eyewear!"

Actually, the Bottlecap has become one of my favorites. Somehow I found myself with 4 pairs (mostly from the early days in their release when they could be obtained at very reasonable prices ($40) on ebay). Double-actually, I just picked up a G30 replacement lens to snazz up my black/grey pair.

I just think the Bottlecap is a great piece of eyewear that takes some ideas from the half jacket and "de-sportsicize" the look. Major drawback: like most Oakley releases in past years, more exciting colorways are needed.

Are these really a UK exclusive? They are available at more than a couple OPDs here in Chicago.

I agree completely with Paul. They don't quite fit me but I think they are severely underrated.

Well, then I stand corrected. I dunno, they always felt kinda cheap to me. Much moreso than the other lower price point frames. Almost like they arent Oakleys, but some cheap Arnette.

I really like the bottlecap. They fit (best fitting oakley without unop for me) and look way better on me than the half jacket.
I have the Chrome/Tit. one and I think I'll get another one sooner or later (grey with tit. pol would be nice).

Join the bottlecap love train, everyone!...go out and pick up a pair!

Actually, couldn't agree more about the grey/ice discussion - what's an exclusive if it can be purchased just about anywhere on the BTO program.

More about my diggin the BC, I think it's one of the styles out there that has a bit of a universal appeal about it. I have other eyewear for giving the impression that these are freakishly unique badass sunglasses and that you could only dream of wearing glasses this cool. And I have the montefrio and razor blade to give the "why are you even wearing those" impression. But the BC is a pretty universally likeable style out there in the general public. Sometimes, it's just good to just have "nice sunglasses" out there.

Maybe thats why I dont like it as much. Cause everyone can pull it off. I like the fact that the majority of my glasses can't be pulled off buy most people and even if they can, they wouldn't want to because they cost so much damn money. But thats just me.

count me as a another bottlecap fan. they fit me a little bit better than half jackets. if they had unobtanium earstems and nose pieces, they'd be perfect.

Bought this Bottlecap in San Francisco last year in a Champs. Has anyone seen the Sunglass hut exclusive Gascan?

Presumably Phil has. That's weird, their exclusive is usually Black Chrome.

Just saw it yesterday. It's kinda baddass. The Icon is grey too so its quite stealthy. I've also seen the new rust gascan.

Dark Grey with Black Polar is in SGHs now. Brown Smoke with Ti is coming as is the Matte Silver/Ice Whisker. We have an Oakley font door starting for the beginning of June to launch these. Prob starts this weekend.

It was only last year our exclus were Black Chrome. That's not the case every year.
