Which should I get? In the UK the TimeBomb now retails at £699 where as the TimeTank with Metal Bracelet retails at £899. I like them both but don't have the cash to get 2 watches.

my preference lies in the Timetank, but since the Timebomb is now a deleated item and becoming more scarce I'd say go the Timebomb.
The timetank will be here for a while yet!

But if you only plan to buy one watch and have it last you some years then go the TimeTank

Yeah that is what I was thinking but the TT is much lighter than the TB and I am a fan of a heavier watch as you know you are waering it. Also I like the colur options of the TB, I am wondering whether or not that will happen with the TT in the future.

I am always nervous of buying one of off ebay, besides the only colurs I would buy are the Red face or Emerald face which are never on there. I would love the TT to have an Emerald face, then I would definitely buy one.

I switch between a GMT and Timebomb on a regular basis and although th TB is lighter i easly adjust to the weight and never feel it's to light.

I have a Blade and that feels quite heavy, is the Time Bomb lighter than the Blade?

It depends if you buy the Titanium or Stainless Steel version. I have the Cannon Red/Titanium, the polished or Stealth are the ones that are Stainless Steel. So if you want an emerald or Cannon red you will be getting Titanium wihich is the same wieight as the TimeTank or very similar.

Ok, just to clarify... particularly Heat Vision :p

If u're wearing a Time Bomb,
"Nice watch! Have u seen the new Oakley watch?? That looks awesome!"

If u're wearing a Time Tank,
"Very nice watch! But I think the Time Bomb looks better.."

Huh??? What am I talking about?? hahaha...

I know what you mean but collectors often appreciate a bit of old school. It is always nice to see a pair of glasses that are no longer in production. Brings back good memories.

Overstock only sells the old-style clasp Time Bomb though, which I think isn't as aesthetically pleasing as the newer ones.

I'd get a Time Bomb first, personally. Time Tank will be around for much longer.

yeah, me too... the TimeBomb is a classic, Oakley's first watch and if you're considering a watch, that should be the first. the TimeTank is new so it'll be around for a while, maybe some new colours will be introduced in the future as well.

as for weight, like Mike says the Titanium TimeBomb versions are very light (i'd say probably even lighter than the TimeTank), the Stainless Steel versions are a bit heavier but to my unscientific experience, still not as heavy as, say... a Judge or a GMT.

i used to think the original hidden clasp looks nice but now i'll agree with Iggy that the newer overlapping clasp looks better... i think it's the big icon that i like about it LOL.

As far as colors go, I've been told by my managers that the TT wont' be getting anything spectacular like emerald or red. Maybe a polished eventually, but don't hold your breath.

I think Emerald or Red would look silly on the TT. It would be like a Maybach with Red or Green tinted windows.

Just my $0.02.

Actually a Maybach with red windows sounds pretty pimp

I like the TimeBomb, but that's just b/c the TT hasn't grown on me as much yet.

the TT is too light for it's "look", if you know what i mean...:)

I completely disagree about the Time Tank being too light for it's look. As a person who has not taken it off for almost 3 weeks, I can confidently say that its weight is perfect.

As for the TT vs TB - I think if you are going to be paying retail prices the TT is the way to go. You would be silly to pay retail for a TB with all the great deals out there nowadays.

I might just ge the TB now and wait a year or so for the TT. They are both nice watches so I will just try and get both.

i would say that for the folks who's gotten use to GMT, judge...etc.

then they will feel the TT is too light...
