I was really hoping for intelligent discussion from the latter part of my post. Oh well.

Sometimes you lose, friend. And now would be sometime.

Huh??? Get back on track shall we?? If he decides to put a review of the TT as 'trash' then let him be... Not to tolerate things but that's what he thinks of it and we cant change that.. or maybe we could eventually??? hhehee... But are we gonna bann him just because of that??

Unfortunately u just offended lotsa TT lovers with that 'trash' word fella :) Its not acceptable hence u got flamed.. So I suggest u lower ur tone and use more suitable and proper words for review :)

Btw, Welcome to the site and nice purchase on the Ruby Juliet! Let's all behave =)

The reason I started this thread was to ask peoples opinion as to which of the 2 watches I should buy. However it has now turned into a rant about some guy not feeling any love for Oakley anymore. If you feel that strongly then why did you join an Oakley Review website in the first place. If you did it so you can tell everyone how much you think Oakley has gone off the rails and think there product is now not up to scratch, then fine that is your opinion but there is no need to make fun or throw insults at others for the way they feel.

Go with the Time bomb for now ive worn mine almost every day for a year now and the comments i get from people are "wow". i will eventually get a time tank but it will be sometime down the road, at first i was not to happy with it, not to the point of calling it trash, just too much bling but you have actually got to see and hold this thing to truley appreciate it.

i'll agree, go with the TimeBomb for now, they're becoming more scarce while you can always get a TimeTank at a later date... both watches are very desireable but are aesthetically very different; different strokes for different folks as we can see from the previous rants above. but anyway, let us kow your decision.

It's supposed to be a standout watch. It sure as hell draws a lot more attention than a TB. The only downside from the TB to TT is the lack of inertial generator. Otherwise everything is improved. And if you're buying Oakley you're not trying to look like every tool-bag that goes and buys a Rolex or Tag. Rolex probably have the most boring, laziest styling of any watch out there IMHO.

As far as your decision, I'm bored with the grey dial TB which is the only one on overstock. But if you can find a more exciting colorway for a good price, by all means get the TB because of availability.

very well said Joe... the Time Tank isn't for everyone, and from Oakley's press statement, they purposely designed it that way. Rolexes for tools, Oakleys for the rest of us.

I think the colors that they have for the time tank right now are good. I think a blue dial or other color would look wierd.

Josh - great comparison with the different tec. spec.

JRAWKER - we get it the TT is not for you (thank God!) its not supposed to be for everyone, and with an attitude like yours I would not want people to see you in one. But as far as it being trash I think you are way off base it is a solidly built watch. As others have said, is it the best movement out there? Nope its not but it also dose not cost $9,000 or more like a Patek Philippe does (now that’s some fine movement!).

Lest put it this way, if it was such trash why do all the O stores keep selling out of it? And why are may of the colors on back order all ready? For a peace of trash there sure are a lot of people picking one up!

Now out of my system,

Simon- I am with the rest of the gang, pick up a timebomb while you can, go after the TT at a later date.

Joe keep checking overstock sometimes the carbon and the white face show up, another downer on the Time Tank is no serial # which is cool on the time bomb kinda makes each watch unique, still going to scrape up the $$ to get one though.

anyone noticed that the TT's titanium bracelet is reversable so if one side is heavy scratched, just reverse it.
