While we were in Oahu, we saw the new 3.0 at an O Store and got all excited! Wanted to share with our bretheren... We got pics of the glasses but Paul's are much better.

as i mentioned before, they're pretty weighty, so a Titanium version would definitely help. however, they're probably going to be called Ti-Square Wire instead, as they did the same for the SW2.

are these the same size as the 2.0?

ok after seeing that last pic my opinion has changed a little :) those do look pretty darn nice! I don't know if I'm gonna buy a pair anytime soon (S.O. would tear my body in half) but I could definately see owning a pair.

They are quite noticably bigger than the SW 2.0, but they are certainally not huge.

Can't wait to get a pair for Dawn...she looks much better in them!

They're very close to the 2.0 width-wise, just much taller.

The orbitals are EXACTLY what you'd expect the Why 8.2 to look like if it wasn't rimless.

The corners look a bit more...well... square than the older one's too. Am I correct or is it just the angle?

Correct. They're not as rounded as 2.0.

Did I read here that the spring hinge mechanism is different than other Wires? Someone weigh in please.

i don't know if it's mechanically different, but it looks smaller (less bulky). I, for one, hate the feel of the Oakley springs. I'd love the old three-part sandwich hinge like the A-Wire's.
