Is there anyway to fix/clean the discolouration problem (black marks) the plasma frame has? I'm thinking of sending them to the O to have them tuned up but I'm not sure if they're going to fix that problem.

I am not sure of any way to fix that. They probably won't just do it, but the tune up is $49 and if you ask, they probably will swap it for the new plasma for a charge...

$49? wasn't it just $29? The discoloration on this one is pretty bad. I bought it used and for cheap too so that's what i get for it. They are nice too, they have blue irid lens in it.

$29 is for O Matter frames.

There's an O-matter plasma also- the kinda goldish color that comes in HJ with Gold Iridium... Are you sure he isn't talking about that?

No, I have a pair of juliets. And I phone warranty earlier today, I don't know if he knew what he was talking about but he told me $20 for them to change the unob's and I asked if the tightening of the flex couplers and hinges are included, he said yes.

I'm going with a no. Tune-up is always $45 unless you get lenses, in which case they've been known to comp it.

The deal with the plasma frames is....Oakley used to offer a plasma frame for the juliets that had kinda a silver-gold coating on the frame,and they quit making plasma in that color...I know because I had the older color(from 2001) and sent them into upgrade from non-polarized to polarized,and they sent me back the current style (plasma juliets),and I didn´t care for the color,but after calling to figure out why I sent in one color and got another back,they said that the older plasmas were having problems of discoloring,and they upgraded me to the current plasma....so..thats my expierience with it,I just scored a mint pair from ebay,for over 200 buck.So I hope that helps..

Oakley Canadian CS charges $75 for any X-metal replacement frame. Doesn't matter what frame. If you had an original receipt, they'd probably comp it, cause of the discoloration. They are pretty strict on the $75 policy.
