Dang, this sucks. Great idea, but I guess when you have a billion people throwing in their two cents it gets too crazy. Hopefully in the future there won't be as many options offered.

Tis a shame FP couldn't have got permission from Oakley for an O-Review Monster Dog. 75 different OCE builds was not what this idea was all about.

So the project is canceled?
I just can`t figure it out why couldn`t we agree on 1frame/1color/1lens option.
It`s not too late. Lets vote! Is it so hard?

OR

We let Paul and the others decide for us.

"I just can`t figure it out why couldn`t we agree on 1frame/1color/1lens option"

Maybe becuase everyone has there own taste, there own style, and knows what fits thems the best. Instead of someone decideing on what you have to wear. Not everyone here likes the same Lens as everyone else.

Well obviously we arent going to agree on the exact same color way, frame style.. ect. HOWEVER, i do think that with something such as a poll or vote on possible colorways we could reach an agreement with all members, if we could narrow it down a little more with the starting options then it would also make things eaiser. When there are no limits things get out of control, if i missed something please clue me in, but I think it would be a wise move to list out something like 5 lense options, 5 frame colors, and like 2 or three actual frames, thenwe can vote and vote some more until we've pared the options down until we can all reach a conclusion that is favored by the majority.

It's all a bit of a mute point right now. VUTT has made up their mind and has offered up the ability to make your own personal customized VUTT OCE signature eyewear. It's still a great offer to get a customized eyewear - so if you like the deal then make sure to take advantage of it and let them know your OCE preference.

The project is not over. I am ordering 75 VUTT sunglasses Nov 1st.2006 It might be 1 style 75 the same VERY VERY UNLIKELY. 3 styles 25 each SLIM CHANCE. 7 Styles 10+/- of each MORE RSENSIBLE. Its about finances. I tried to explain to BILL ultimately I have to come up with a minimum of $7,000+ to orders this package and I have to recoop these funds as fast as possible for the companies sake. People of O-Review you have to understand I sell 600+ Oakleys a year at my store. I cant put an investment out to get 25 of 1 style and color in hopes that I sell them. OK Orev will buy 20-40 that leaves 35+. It took me 6 years to sell 25 minutes black with black iridium. how long will it take me to sell 25 rust gas cans with nothing special other than my LOGO. Hell I still have an Ichiro Juliet in stock and that has been ther for months. I had a brown Juliet for 2 years had to get a RA to send back to Oakley it would not sell, now everyone wants it. I cant wait 2 years to sell them. Love my LOGO but cant depend on it to sell them. If I break it up to alot of styles then I am more confident to recoop the initial investment. BILL and others got mad at my decision but I have been in business for 16 years and I think I know risk and this is a big risk that i cant afford to make a mistake. Some of you cant understand it so i say here. SOMEONE PUT UP $7,000 AND ILL BUILD WHAT EVER PAIR YOU WANT . 75 of the exact pair. Hell I read alot of comments like the Medusa I cant put out $500 for a hat.Now you can understand my position.Appreciate you guys but its easy to cast opinions when your not fronting the bill.

I whole heartly agree with paul, not cause i work for him, but there are so many pros and cons to the project, yes it would be great to have 75 of the same pair to be a signature series, but at the same time if all of the o-reviewers back out, VUTT is stuck with 75 of the same pair on the shelves for god knows how long, 4-5 styles is a good idea because people on here have already stated that they want this glass, but also some have stated that some glasses dont fit them right, so in having more styles we will provide more options for all of you on here to pick what fits you. In the store, rare oakleys sit on the shelves, emerald slate ichiro-3 months, 3 ruby juliets 3-months, 2 stretchline grape gascans 4-months, what paul and myself are trying to say is the rare oakleys that everyone wants only cater to select people so when the company puts out all this money we need to make it back to pay our bills, and just so all of you know ordering oakleys in bulk aint cheap, so all we want to dois make a custom pair that nobody will duplicate, and this will be it, the etching on the lense will be our logo not the oakley writing so that makes it very rare, so in conclusion all that want a pair of these glasses needs to email paul or myself to say your in or your out, either way this order will be goin in November 1, 2006

Paul, how about something like this;
"OK guys, Here's the sig pair. Gascan Rust/ Fire (or whatever) with VUTT on left & O-Review on right. The price is $125. I'll be taking orders & Paypals immediately."
Then you can order enough of those to fill the OR's needs & divide the rest (minus the O-Review etching) into what you think would sell in your store. That way the OR gets it's unified sig pair & you don't get saddled with a pile a glasses you can't sell. Am I wrong in thinking that this could work & it's kinda what we were after in the first place?

I dont think there is going to be an OR etching on the lense.

I agree with Tick though. We have no idea the price, or anything, so you basically need to lay it out for us so we can say if we want in or not.

I think we should all be able to understand VUTT's perspective of opening it up to a mix of OCE eyewear in order to supply the variety of eyewear that they will be able to sell in store. While this means that you can order whatever OCE you want - it also means there is nothing against having an unofficial o-review colorway that you could order. So maybe it's the Rust/Fire GC and Matte Black/Fire MD that you choose if you want to be "in the cool" o-review style. Past that, though, there is always the freedome to order what you want for the custom VUTT eyewear.

As far as price goes - I'd agree it would be nice to just get a heads up on pricing. Assuming we can figure out what the standard OCE price would run - is there any surcharge (ie. for the signature engraving)?

Good idea Tick + I really love the Rust/Fire Gascans!

So maybe it's the Rust/Fire GC and Matte Black/Fire MD
I still opt for uniformity. Metallic Black, an OCE exclu colorway, is available on the Five, GC and MD. Match a lens and there's your matching O-Review rarity. I think the Five is the oddball. Is Fire and/or Ice avilable for that frame to have say all Metallic Black/Fire combos? Are there any other frame colors identical across multiple frames? I think some of us need to see the options avialable for OCE.

Is this for real? A web-exclusive colorway?

Sep 22, 2006 7:14 AM
That is a great idea you guys decide on an Oreview color combo for the glass you want and Ill get you a price and then ill fill in the rest of the order (50) with assorted styles and color combos. Therefore if OREV orders 25 Gascan Rust with Fire with VUTT on left lens then there will be a limited number of them. That works for me. 5 weeks and counting.
