As of the past few weeks I started collecting extra icons to use for swaps on styles that I think should have different color icons and custom combos. I was thinking we can keep a thread listing of what icons are interchangable for everyone to refer to when they look to do this themselves. So add what you know switches out for everyone's use, and I'll start off with the ones I've found to be identical.

The following use the same icons:

Four / Minute / Twenty / Five 3.0

Eye Jacket 2.0 / Monster Dog / Monster Doggle

Five 2.0 / Crosshair / Spike / Splice / Unknown / New Zero / Hatchet

How do you get the Icons off of the frame?

Something small and pointy, and patience. Just get under the corner and lever it up.

I tend to use my thumbnail starting at the upper or lower center working my way around to the ends. When they have too much of a "bubble" around them or are too inset in the frame then look at using something edged or pointy. And watch, the adhesive may not always come up with the icon.

Pins work well for icons in a raised bevel, but for ones like the Straight jacket which is flush, I ended up using a thin razor blade.

By the looks of it the Valves and Splices have the same sized icons.

If you're into watches, a springbar tool works perfecly. You can pick one up on eBay cheap. It is used to remove watch bands, one side is shaped like a very small, flat crowbar. Absolutely the perfect tool for the job (and handy for obvious reasons). Get a hardened steel one, black in color, they are the best!

So after you remove the icon do you have to glue it back down?

Not usually, some glue will be still attached to the icons, some into the frame, swap the new lens in et voila !

Nice Job Phil, thanks, would be great if that info could be somewhere on the site in an easy permanent way.

I wonder if my spare Blue SJ icons will look good on my Violet Riddle.

I caught the Riddle and SJ last night as well. Is Scar really the same as all those others? That one I've never seen in person. Amazing to see how many are actually the same. I think that long list (Spike/Xhair...) is the same on the Razrwire BT unit as well.

An Icon from a Ducati Crosshair on a black BT unit would look pretty cool.

Yeah it's inset on the metal lug, and came out right around the same time at the Splice.

I looked at the Thump too and it seems like there's no bevel to it. Not sure about the size, but I think it's a different icon then the rest.

Also I assume the Gascan and Thump 2 are the same. Can anyone confirm the Oil Drum and or O ROKR.

And Phil, can you check the Montefrio and Twitch/Eye Patch.

Yeah. MF is quite small, but Twitch and EP are most likely the same. FC is laregest out of them all.

I can confirm all the square icons at work this week. I want to say they're all the same for GC, OD, T2 and Rokr.

Bottlecap is an oddball that I don't think matches anything else. Maybe Dartboard, and Fate?

I forgot to check my Dartboard. I also need to check the Hatchet and Switch, since I glazed over those being metal frames and all. I'm surprised by how few frames have icons in my collection.

I'm betting on Switch being the same as Xhair, Splice, etc. It's the small faceted one.

Four S is the same as Four, Twenty, etc.

I'm sorry, did I foget one? Hatchet is the same as Xhair, Splice, Five 2.0 and so on. I swapped Hatchet and Xhair icons and that's how all this started. XS Fice looks to be the same small faceted icon too.

Canteen is all alone for the moment until somehting else arrives with a tiny square icon.

Wires, that's a venture I was afraid to tackle. Most look like they could be the same.

Yeah. We had a Xhair in the damages box with Gunmetal (thought I'd free the icons of their demise) and I wanted a set of Silver for a future BTO I have in mind. I started checking to see what we had in stock with matching icons and low-and-behold, the Pewter Hatchet has Silver. Exact same icons. Needless to say, someone is going to get a Pewter Hatchet with Gunmetal. Our grade of customers will never care.
