I've noticed that all my Oakleys tend to fit my face where my right eye is less covered than my left eye. In other words the frame sticks out away from my face a little more on my right side than on my left side.

It's a little annoying with peripherals, but I really can't blame Oakley. You can only have so many pairs fit the same exact way until "these frames are crooked" turns into My freakish head is crooked"

Anyway this minor annoyance is especially obvious with my Juliets. I finally tried to "fix" my problem. I experimented with the temple shocks. What I did is put a 25mm temple shock on the left side and a 15 temple shock on the right. To my amazement (and amusement) this shifted the frames just enough compensate for my mis-shapen head.

I thought that I might share that little nugget of info to see if 1. Anyone else has this problem 2. Am I the first one to come up with this silly idea? I don't know maybe somebody has a crooked nose, or, like me, a crooked face. At any rate I hope this might help those of you who are less symetric. :)

btw, I don't look like Quasimoto or anything, we're talking a very slight difference in cheek size.

Welcome to the misshapen head club. I have also done that on a pair of Juliets before (curiously, I didn't need to do that on another).

I have the same problem, but I only see it happen to the point where its obvious on my 1st gen Halfwire. Probably why they changed the nosebombs to wire pads in the later gens.

This sort of thing is what makes spring hinges so nice. When they don't fit just so you can adjust them by simply pivoting the frame around your head. with standard hinges it's simply not possible without a professional to customize them to your face.

I once bought a used pair of juliets on ebay 1 time and I ensisted on returning it to seller cuz the frame wont fit on my face right. And once I got a new pair of juliets and mars, I realized that they were like that. Oh well, nobody can talk smack anyway. Its an Oakley :-)

I also have a misshapen head and have done the same. Also because I have a big head and use the smallest temple shocks I had to trim one side with a scalpel, sacrilege I know but it would be an even bigger sacrilege not to wear them.

Nah I don't think that's too bad. That makes more sense to me than bending the frame. After all if you screw that up it only will cost you $10 bucks to get a replacement while screwing up the frames could get very pricey.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I find that my nose is slightly to one side of my face, so non-spring-hinge models don't fit me at all. Such a pity, could never wear me Crosshairs properly!

Praise the lord for spring-hinges.

My head is crooked too....plus my nose was broke and didn't heal straight. Even my hats don't fit straight.... I'm ok with it because I always thought my Grandfather wore his crooked on purpose - guess not. But he always looked cool so i'm ok with it.

with 25shox on both sides.. the juliet will stick to my left cheek. To counter that, I place a 50shox on the left, so now it's balanced. However, it's quite apparent that the left lens is farther from my eyes.. therefore, light goes in the left. You can see my left eye but not the right..

Am I making sense?

Yeah I catch what you're saying. Maybe like one of the other members said try to shave the 50 down a bit. Just be careful!
