About the Penny: funny you should ask. Send you a PM.

Thanks for the clarification about the high index and the bevel. So Oakley are the only ones who can make that bevel?

hi, i've got a relatively big head, i previously owned the square wire 2.0, and then the chop top 4.0.
the the sunnies, R2 and big square wire fit me best, what other models you reckon has a 'bigger' fit as well? out of the current RX lot?

i've got a big wide noggin, and some of the newer RX models are nice and wide fitting... like my Chisel 4.0 and Ratchet 4.0.

Well, at least pretty much the only one that can make it look good!

Got my Penny yesterday but something seems off: the image doesn't seem to focus quite right and that causes eyestrain (it's a bit like looking cross eyed).
The man who sold them to me was very helpfull and checked the strength and pupildistance against my A wire and they were the same.
He told me the problem was probably the greater curvature of the lens and that I would get used to it.
However, I've never had this problem with other high curvature lenses like the Juliet. They always gave me a great picture right away and never took any getting used to.

So has anyone ever had this problem with a Rx Penny?

That Penny's been in progress for a long long time!

Have it compared to one of your Juliets, Iwan. See if there's any differences there.

In which way differ the standard Square Wire 2.0 SH and the Rx edition? If I'd like to make a prescription eyewear of it should I take definetly the Rx version?

Basecurve! The regular sunglasses have a base 8.75 curvature in the frontalpiece - more curved - and the opthalmic have a base 6 curvature - less curved. Therefor the opthalmic frames can mount a higher prescription.

My advice: the opthalmic frame.

Thanks, Ed!
My current lenses are both -1.75. This strength fits the non-Rx, right?

Does this only apply to the square wire or other wires as well? I've been using the ophthalmic A wire frame for my -3.75 precription. If I understand correctly I could use the regular A wire frame as well?

New question: is it possible to me to move Oakley Rx-lenses from my Gascan to my Thump 2 or I must bring both them to my optician? I read that plano lenses are the same from GC and T2, but I was not sure for Rx lenses...

Shouldn't be much of a problem, since the regular lenses are interchangable too.

I will try tomorrow, I just hope they will work well optically. However I'll let you know, thanks!

I'm wondering: when you order Rx glasses they take your pupillary distance. What happens if you change the glasses to another frame? If the nosebridge/orbital of the new frame is wider then the lenses must be more lateral: so will the pupillary distance still match up?

you will recognize that. In sport glasses the distance will be smaller than you regulary have, don't know why.

I put the RX lenses from the Gascan to the Thump2 and vice-versa, and all seems to be ok. I found easy to do it and I see that the lens borders of the two frames seems to be identical, also the width of the nose bridge.
I see well as when I was wearing the Rx with the Gascan.
It's good to me because I can avoid to buy an extra-pair of RX lenses for the thump2 (to me it's enough expensive with normal lenses). I have the Pacha Limited Edition from the Pacha Store in Ibiza (WOW!)

I tried a few Rx frames last week seeking for the best fit. The Jackknife 4.0 looked good on me, but I'm a bit concerned being a half frame. What is your opinion about it? Can you suggest me a frame which is made for smaller heads?
I also liked the O2 aswell.

The rimless frames, like why or split thread, have like 17 lens options including some very small ones. That way you're sure to find one that suits you, no matter how big or small your head is.
