Kudos man. It looks great. I wish I had (or had had the) time to experiment with an airbrush seeing how well that turned out.

Thanks for your comments guys. Fred I'm not a pro I'm actually a teacher of special needs and art. I'm planning on starting an airbrush business and will be using this helmet as a promotional item. Matt I'm not sure what you mean by 'what is the base for this designed helmet?' but if you want to know anything about how I did it then ask away.

hi Greg,

i mean the inspiration for the style...

looks a bit like industrial display and a part of alien (pic 63/ 64)....

how did you put the warning triangle on it? is this all handmade or a sticker and then the finishing layer over it??

Matt the inspiration was to make it look like something Oakley would produce, kinda industrial with riveted metal and then adding wires underneath to give it a robotic scientific look. The rest of the design came from me and the shape of the helmet, accentuating the intake and exhaust ports making them look more functional than just cooling down your head lol. The warning triangle was printed on water slide decal paper using a laser printer. It's then cut out and put into water and when it has soaked for a while the backing slides off leaving a thin decal. It's a lot like the decals you get with model aircraft and the like but you can produce your own designs. Once the design is finished and the decal is in place the whole helmet is then clear coated to protect it. Ollie I'm not that far away from Cologne really.

Fred if anyone is interested in a custom helmet or other custom stuff then just contact me here or at my site, www.gw-designs.co.uk. My next projects are going to be some of my mountain bike frames and my wakeboard so I'm gonna have to think what design I'm going do on them.
