Managed to get a good deal on a pair of original E wires, but have really had to agree with the reviews - the fit is a little loose. I have tightened the screws on the arms, but was wondering if anyone had found a trick or tip for a better fit?

Hold the frame in both hands at the points where it joins the arms and then gently push so frame bends together slightly. Repeat if/as needed.

Yes I have done this to every pair of the e-wire 1.0 (and t-wire 1.0) I own and I have never broken a pair.

The adjustment point is across the nosebridge, just as Harry pointed out. It should not take much.
