I have 5 or 6 pair of Radars, and I frequently swap different colors of ear stem "rubbers" to get the customized look I'm after. Unfortunately, I was tugging at one today and it literally snapped in half. Do any of you frequently change these, and if so, do you keep the inside "lubed" with soap, oil, whatever? I'd really rather not break these damn things trying to get them off the ear stems.

Never had to change mine, but they seem durable enough. Thankfully, replacements are available at a reasonable price.

I've never snapped one (I have 9 pairs of Radars and do swaps with some frequency). No, I don't lube them or anything.

Perhaps one piece of advice is never to "pull" the ear sox onto or off of the frame. Instead, "push" them off, and "push" them back on. That way, there's no way they can snap. You may not be able to push them into place in one move. If that's the case, you can "caterpiller" them, pushing then pulling. You get the idea.

Lionel is correct! Whenever I swap out ear socks, I always use a little hand sanitizer and it slips on without any issues! Just be sure NOT to get any on the lens! :)

I wear my Radars for my safety glasses and have had to change out the earsocks quite a lot since my hard hat likes to eat the back tips.

Salazars must think alike because I change them out the same way as nick and have never had a problem. The only lubrication I use it water or saliva. It sounds gross but I know those two liquids have no chance of reacting with the rubber.

I find that the best thing to use is the Oakley lens cleaning solution. It is very mild when it comes to chemicals and it wont hurt the rubber or the frame. The hand sanitizer has a lot of alcohol in it which over time could hurt the frame or the rubber. Just one squirt on the arm and it slides right on.
