Frame: Brown Leather
Lens: Black Iridium

ONe of the coolest pieces ever produced. It mirrors the "Factory Pilot" theme that can be seen in some of the Oakley illustrations (like on the tissue paper). The Helmet I have is L/XL and is a bit big on me. I wear a L motorcycle helmet. The goggles offer great clear views up front, but like most goggles, peripheral suffers.

Big lenses. But even the size of it doesn't improve the blocked peripheral vision design flaw. An optional piece that is a must if you have the medusa headpiece.

medusa goggle is useless without medusa hat , so rating it seperately is kind of useless, however , if one would review the lenses in the goggle ; tunnelvision comes to mind, and at the end of the tunnel there is a bright plutonite lens in black iridium that does what all other black iridium lenses do , block most of the sunlight very well

You can't have one without the other. The set is by far the most unique peice by Oakley. I love this piece.

typical Black Iridium lenses, which is to say they're very darkly tinted but still remain Oakley clear. the huge, circle lenses offer good forward vision but then the way the goggles are designed, peripheral vision is totally blocked. but then again, they look absolutely cool. can't have a Medusa without them.

The nosebridge does pinch up when you wear it, but I don't see any way around it. If you pull the Medusa up a bit, it just tends to float and works a little better. The lenses seem to be the original circles that haven't had anything punched from them. Almost like a lens sample. It snaps to the Medusa and does its job, but your peripheral vision suffers.

Lenses are typical Oakley, very clear. They are huge lenses and offer a wide field of view. However, the nose bridge pinches when you wear them.

The entire Medusa headpiece is something of an oddity, but very cool! Its actually very comfortable to wear and is not heavy.

The version seen on Scotty Cannon is very different from the production Medusa. His had a sort of integrated goggle.

Another one of those Oakley oddities. First time I saw these was on Scotty Cannon and I remember it being called the Wombat at that point too. It was around the time Over the Top had came out and it has a similar lens set up. I just can't see anyone walking down the street in this but cool none the less. Very WWII leather pilot helmet like, and I am sure somewhere, someone who worked on these had thought of that.
