Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Black Iridium

Not a fan of the new "castle logo". The original Oil Rig does seem pretty tame by comparison, but such a drastic change to the logo is confusing. I'm glad that Oil Rig and Oil Rig II lenses are compatible. Thanks for the backwards compatibility.

Frame: Shadow Camo
Lens: Titanium Iridium

Super light o-matter and unique styling make these great shades and the newer sculpted design and logo make the II's a nice upgrade. The frame wraps around the head well, fitting securely through most movement and are surprisingly comfortable (although some padding would be welcome) fitting me like a glove. While the stems stay opened well they do become slightly more loose over time especially when closed, unlike with metal hinges. The uni-lens is unique, with great lines and nice large coverage although not quite as much on top. I would recommend a darker, more sublte lens because they look much better in this large single design IMO. A great pick for those who like larger type frames with a modern look.

Frame: Frost Blue
Lens: Chrome Iridium

The design of the frame is awesome, but I hate how they slide off my face when I bend down to pick something up. Also over time the ear hinges have become very loose. But it is super comfortable, and comes at a every reasonable price.

These are hands down my favorite frame that Oakley makes. The coverage is awesome, the O symbol is definitely unique, and the frame is extremely sturdy. The holiday frost blue models are pretty sweet. I actually took the lens out of those and put them in a black frame and they look even better. I am not a huge fan of the T-Pain signatures, but I think thats just because I don't like white sunglasses. I would also like to see them release these with a titanium polarized lens. But overall great all around shades.

Frame: Shadow Camo
Lens: any

I rather liked the icons on the first gen, and was a bit bummed when these were what I was making a custom set with. I feel a little cheated I couldn't mess with the color of the icon. I love how the huge area of the rig lets the Shadow Camo stand out (wait...camo's not supposed to stand out). Same would go for the Text frames.

The good is that this rig provides PLENTY of coverage, but not in an obnoxious way. Still got some style with it. Good for you folks with the longer lashes. Nothing obstructing sight either.

All that said, I have noticed that it is hard to keep them on my head when not looking through them. They fall off and stretch open, as has been said before. Every now & then the frames creak against the lens.

Frame: Polished White
Lens: Black Iridium

I like these Oil Rigs better than the first generation. I'm not the biggest fan of the castle icon, but the new ones seem to fit better. I really do appreciate the evolution to a cleaner T-Pain signature version. When it came time for me to buy my first Oil Rig, it was between the first T-Pain and the Polished Clear. The polished clear won, but only due to the black "underside" on the white frame. The new T-Pain has a beautifully clean look to it (aside from the bear and "ballgazer"), and when I saw it, I had to have it. On a side note, my wife thinks I'm weird for not having a clue as to who T-Pain is...

Frame: Black with text
Lens: Grey

When I first saw these I thought "what's the point the Rig just came out. Why they are changing it?" Over time they grew on me. Now when I see an Oil Rig I it just looks plain and boring. The Oil Rig II is still not something I can wear every day but the new castle icon seems to fit the frame so much better. I now realize even more that Oakley stays on top because they are constantly trying to improve their product. These won't see as much daylight as my Flaks or Hijinx, but for the days when I'm feeling a bit saucy I break out my Rigs.

This frame has almost a universal fit. I've seen it fit guys with medium-small to quite large heads equally well. The frame is extremely comfortable and provides excellent coverage.

Good update Oakley. Keep the mad science coming!

Frame: several
Lens: several
I have to disagree with the above posts, I have all the colorways in the gen 1 and several in gen 2 and have to admit I like the gen 2 better. The 3-D icons give the glasses a much better profile when viewed from the front, and I think the frames feel tighter and more solid. They added stops to keep the arms from scratching the inside of the lens (a prob with gen1) and also made a small air pathway in the nosebridge to help ventilate from one side to the other to help stop fogging. The castle icons look much different than anything previously put out, but scream Oakley.

i think that the new icons look awful. I was really hoping the transition to the gen 2 took longer than it did so i had more time to snatch up some more gen 1 pairs. it looks like ill be at the mercy of ebay for that now. im really dissapointed with the changes that they made to the oil rig

Frame: N/A
Lens: N/A

I have tried these on multiple times in the Oakley store, and I have to say that they are a less solid frame, than the first gen. Oil Rigs. I also do not like the new "cross hair" design that Oakley has done with there logo. when I heard about the new Oil Rigs, I was very excited, but I am a little disappointed that they were not as great as I expected. I would definitely recommend the first gen. ones over these.
