Hey Let's I have some questions to ask, so I need your answers... let's start with the magnesium switch. How is the fit of these sunglasses? I really want a pair but before I pluck down the cash can I get some pictures, advice, etc. In particular I really wanna know are they for large heads like mine or not? Are they classics or not? I need answers asap because my choices are many, but I can only snag one or two... My other choices include over the top and plates... out of the three, which one do you guys rate best of bunch and which of the three should I go after? Size and style are important and right now they are all tied for the leading purchase! If you guys can provide pictures and opinions on sizes, etc. I would greatly appreciate it... thanks in advance!

The Mag Switch is a model for display only, I think. If you start to wear them as your every day sunnies, they might dismantle their coating because of the sweat.
The Mag Switch is one of the best styled glasses and they look really aggressive. I love it to have them all. But I would never wear them (long). You should keep that in mind for the decision.

The OTT is something for special occasions. I don't think that someone would wear them every day. They are real headturners and quite rare. Get one as long as you can, even if you only put it in the display.

The plates are the real 'O-rivet-design' and the only model (out of the three you're going to choose) I suggest for an every day use. But these are getting more and more rare and expensive in the last month. Get a pair of Plates first - thats my advice.

Now its up to you. Decide what you want to do with the glasses and think about which one you want to get first. I think you have all three models one day. It's an 'O' thing... :) You want them, you get them (all).

I have continuously passed on plates, but still wanting to have a pair badly... They are awesome

I shouldn't go for the mag Switch, they look really cool but are pretty easy to damage and oxidate.

And the OTT, yeah that's also a pair that may not miss in a collection :)

I have an alternate question regarding Trenchcoats, and I am hoping someone here with this type in their collection might help...
Do all Trenchcoats have the MADE IN USA molded on the inside of the right ear stems?

I recently happened upon a pair, and noticed that only the Oakley logo is on the bridge , but no other marks...

Not even the 'O's on the sides? I've looked on my Trenchcoats (of which I have all bar the Pearl and Black/VR 28) I can't see ANY Made in USA markings, the only marking on the inside of any of the earstems was a CE mark, that was all, other than the circle moulding print found on both earstems on every pair.

I dont have mine anymore but if i remember correctly mine did not have any "made in the USA" markings either. I was worried they may be fake when i got them but they were not.

Thanks guys. Yes it has the O's on the sides, and just Oakley on the nose bridge....but I wasnt sure if they were supposed to have the Made in USA on the inside....its my first pair, and they were in such great condition...I was on the fence about it...
I just didnt know enough about the trenchcoats to cast all doubt aside....I figured you guys would know.

I need some posing wankers of each of the three pair... so if you guys could can you start voguing for me, lol! I wanna see as many pics of all three if you will, especially the mag switch, because I have never seen a pic of someone actually wearing it! As for the over the top, I'm a little worried that they won't fit properly. The plates just may win out, but I need to make a decision soon, so please load those photos and keep the opinions coming boys!!!

Trenchcoats seem to be old enough that you could spot fakes easily enough with how large the oakley script font across the nosebridge was. If it is large and/or slightly mis-shaped and/or with the larger copyright 'r' as part of the print - those were the days of easily spotted fakes.

Between OTT, Plate and Switch - those are some hard decisions. Personally, I never really ran into major issues with my Mag with oxidation of the frame all that much. The Mag Switch is not a large fitting piece, probably a medium fit. The Plate is cool - but the plates do have a possiblity of coming detached and also tend to block peripheral vision. OTT is awesome, but not an everyday wear considering fit or tendancy to fog. If you don't have an OTT - you definitely should get that one. If you get 2, then I'd call it a toss between the Mag or Plate.

You could also check the reviews on the site. For example, the Mag Switch:

This is the O-Review, after all. ;)

I have both the Plate and an OTT. Both are not-for-wear purposes. The Plates look beyond awesome, but when I put them on, I really do look like a total douche. The OTT is one that I'll never regret grabbing. It's always a conversation piece, and whenever a guest has remarked about it, I've had them put it on and take a picture. I have an entire album dedicated to friends wearing it. A worthwhile buy at, dare I say, almost any price.

Out of the 3 - I'd say Thomas pretty much nailed it with his description. Of the 3 - Plate will be your best for every day wear. The issue with Plates though, for me - is the peripheral vision is horrible.

I have all 3 versions and they are a great frame but I won't wear them if I have to drive in traffic.

The OTT should be a staple in everyones collection but it does have the fog issues and I've had the Mag sweat issues as well.

Out of the 3 - I give the Plate the best vote as a daily wearable pair.

i have all three. first, for collection or wearer ? if it is for you to wear , will be mag or plate,
if you want the metal fell mag, and not caring about the oxidation part.

i have worn my plate with pride back in the day ! the 24k !

all of them will be a gr8 addition to any one !
