Is it just me or does that lens look too short. The nose piece goes to the bottom. It looks almost like a blade slit lens.

from that pic mate, doesnt even look legit, the top centre part of the lense doesnt look like its in the frame or is it the shadow?
and danns right, that nosepiece is too low.....almost like a lense cut down...

Gen1 and Gen2 Hybrid should have the same height on the nose piece. The only difference should be the etching as far as I know. If it doesn't have etching it's not Gen2 unless it wore off or something. The Mumbo (pre-Gen1) lens is supposed to look "lower cut" because the cut on the nose piece extends further down due to the bigger razor blade nose.

The nose cut on the Black Rain frame looks like a low Mumbo cut that you would see for 67 and V. Are you sure that's a Hybrid? It's hard to tell from the blur in the 1st pic.

Taking a pic from Dann, if he doesn't mind, for Gen1/Gen2 Hybrid (Gen1 shown) the nose piece should be high up as seen below (The Mumbo lens would be a couple/few mm's lower):

I just picked up a really nice Gen I crystal clear sweep M frame but the lens color has me a bit confused. It looks like a +red out on the edges but it has a lot of emerald in the center. All my others have more of a blue center. Has anyone else seen any first gen lenses like this?

Blue iridium had a lot of variation from deep blue to cyan.

Never seen a +red where emerald was present enough to cross my mind. Sounds like you might have one from a cool batch. Pics!

In the right light some of the gen 1 blue iridiums did show a hint of emerald/green in them

Haven't seen anything like this. Looks like Rainbow Iridium, but perhaps the Iridium in that batch was a bit off.

Hmm, certainly looks more like +Red at those angles, but I'm probably still betting on batch variation.

I believe it is an authentic lens, just never seen one with that much, or any, green in it.

Definitely looks like +Red looking from the top. Very cool lens, it has everything you would expect +Red to have with the addition of the Emerald. I agree with Dann and go with batch variation, nice find!

Waouah, never saw such a green shade on a +red iridium lens even though I know it can tend to green sometimes! Really quite strong here.

Also to add a bit to the previous classification of Mumbo/M Frames, I confirm gold mine 1st gen existed. Rare to find but I've got one. I didnt know cobalt existed too! Any pictures?
