I have this New Eye Jacket and I've never been able to identify the sku or colorway. As best as I can figure, the black lens one is FMJ 45mm with BI, 04-306. So the gold lens one almost has to be the same frame, FMJ 45mm but there is no Gold lens one listed in the DB. It has gold icons and text and rootbeer socks so I'm sure the lenses weren't just swapped.

Any ideas?












Gold text is hard to see in pics but its all there.

There was a Gen 1 FMJ 45mm / Gold, so perhaps they started doing the same colorway in the New version early on, but then canceled it when the available colors were reduced by a lot. Don't have any official record, but that would be my guess.

Remember the Electric Mustard New Eye Jacket was not in the data base either until I submitted it. I agree with Dann, I think a lot of the New Eye Jackets were produced early on and then cancelled.

I based it on catalogs mainly, so since these predate my collecting days, I can't rely on my firsthand experience on these.

Matte clear frame, persimmon lens, eyejacket recently learned about existence. Do you know the serial number?

There was a matching Trenhcoat too. I believe they were just one-offs from the factory. A lot of things just get made but don't have a proper release. A previous member had them, and I've seen them pass through a few people now.

Friends of Japanese collectors knew the fact that eyejacket's matte clear, persimmon was displayed for only 5 days at the oakley web site then. It seems that it was difficult to manufacture and only 200 pieces were produced. If someone possesses it, I would like to see it. And I want it.thank-you Dann

The problem with the matte clear is that there were a lot (I mean A LOT) of fake Matte clear at the time. I have personally past on them every time I thought I have found a real one just because of this.

Same here. I don’t how many I’ve seen but could tell if they were real.
