Is that a Plasma frame with G30 lenses? The lenses seem to be a different shape also. Kind of tapered back on the sides.

If that's the case, will these be available in the US? If so that might ruin my whole plan of getting the Polished Titanium Romeo 2's.

It actually looks more like VR28. One thing to keep in mind is how many customs (Not Oakley Japanese exclusives) are done over there. Even the clear lensed Romeo 2s that showed up.

The lenses look like they were custom cut, you can kinda see a rough edge where they taper up. Not sure on the lens color though, could be VR28 or G30. I don't like the lens shape, I stick with my original plan to get the Polished/Ti ones.

They mention G30 Black in the discussion, though it's not clear if that's what it is or if that's what they think it's like. There's lots of Japanese Oakley with non-Oakley lenses.

I've got a pretty solid "yes" on carbon/ice both from AJ @ the O and a guy I met the other day who runs the plant that X-Metal finishing is subcontracted to(!).

Apparently the Carbon and Plasma (not Polished or X-metal) finishes aren't done in-house but at this guy's third party plant.

There's also the matter of the Ichiro signature R2s. Hopefully they'll be released as well.

My source at the Tokyo Oakley HQ's says the Ichiro R2's are slated for late '05. He also said Oakley and Ichiro are discussing the possibility of an Ichiro Thump. We'll see.

An Ichiro Thump? Now that would be interesting.

Thump in a way would be perfect for baseball...see them players wear those flip-up glasses. Flip it as the fly ball comes down. Listen to tunes while sitting in the dug-out
