So, who have you all spotted in Oakleys outside of athletes and in films? I love that Frank Black (& the Catholics/Pixies frontman) wears them on a regular basis. The pixies were on the cover of NME recently and he wash brandishing Monster Dogs. I have seen him in Romeos and E-Wires in the past.

I'm guessing he's a rapper, never heard anything by him myself, but those teeth tell all. Straying away from athletes could be a risky move. Sure they'll capture another market, but you really can't criticize althetes. Pop culture comes and goes.

Lil Jon is a result of Jamin Jannard's Alternative Marketing division. His team is trying get exposure in the music scene. Lil Jon is huge in hip hop right now, so he's been getting oakley a lot of exposure in that area. I'm betting he'll been one of the so-called celebrity endorsers of thump. They won't forget about their atheletes, that's at the very core of Oakley. I don't think Jim would ever let that happen (or let his son let that happen, he is the future of the company...so they say), Jim's way too passionate about Oakley's athletic heritage. Although we'll probably see more fashion influenced eyewear, I don't think we'll see any less of the insane scupltures we come to expect from the big O.

If you view the source for the rotating banners, they're all named splash_twenty_five.jpg or something similar, so when I see a new one, I save that to my harddrive and then backtrack to make sure I haven't missed any. They usually release a few new banners each time, so that was one of them.

I think Red Camo will be Lil' Jon's signature colour or just plain red, (told you he was trying to take over Ducati!) Just imagine if we started to to see colours coming out like the Ghetto Graffiti Monster Dog with an Emerald or the Gold Bling Splice with a 24k. Who knows, next there might be a Red medusa coming out with his locks on it!

The question is, who will be the first to get a Tattoo of Lil' Jon.
