No, I am not going to go on another rant about how much I dislike the fashion oriented stuff the O is coming up with these days (Although even my jury is out on the spike)

Just check out this clip instead:

Not O related, unless O stand for Outspoken, like you said! It's mildly amusing!

Its not supposed to be O related, thats why its been put into the "off topic" section.
Its just the principle of being outspoken that William was pointing out.

If I were to translate 'outspoken' literary to Dutch, he would be done speaking.

I HATE violence. It's the lowest form of communication and once using it, you automatically admit you can't communicate at all!

And as far as Kung Fu....it's a take away restaurant, you you better be carefull indeed.

As far as my previous post: I like word jokes that have a double meaning. Little did I know that only the Dutch would understand.

I only brought up the "O" comment to make the O is for outspoken joke. Contrary to popular belief, I do understand what "off topic" means... ;D

Mmmmmm, kung fu!

Lee, I meant that you would only understand it, if you'd know the Dutch translation to 'outspoken'. Since only the Dutch - and I don't mean that as nationalistic as it might sound - probably know the translation, only those would understand that particular joke. No offence meant!

As far as jokes, that's why I like (spoken) English so much, because there's so many more words that have a double meaning. Like your first ammendment, for instance. I mean, in Holland, we don't have a governmental right to wear t-shirts!

I think the off topic section was an unbelievably good idea. There are so many like minded people here and it gives us the chance to share in none O related subjects as well. Everything from Games (the paintball game which was the first thing I remember from this section) to funny clips (Go Raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to shared interests such as cinema and literature (those threads speak for themselves), cars (Edwin's arguably interesting remarks on the donkervoort) and of course the personal touch such as tributes to those who shaped the person we have become (memorial to Mr Beebe).

I have to admit I have been somewhat touchy myself like when I criticised Justin (admittedly in a rather unjustified and unfair manner) for starting a thread on political opinions.
I just know that certain topics or remarks can bring the roof down on a thread, and consequently the atmosphere of the review.

To explain briefly, I titled this thread "outspoken opinion" due to the content of the video it linked to. In the past I have been known to be somewhat eagerly forthcoming with my opinions on some of Oakley's new designs. I just wanted to make it clear (tongue firmly in cheek) that I wasn't coming out with another rant.

As for dwaas, it is a Dutch word used to describe something as stupid or weird (depending on the context and the age of the user).
Tick, how come you knew that word?

As for the video being "mildly amusing", my own opinion was that the vigour and tenacity and drunkenness with which the gentleman kept voicing his support was absolutely hilarious in a very strange and convoluted way. Again, just an opinion!

So there you go, contrary to my promise, see rant above;-)

PS, aan alle Nederlanders, het is meer interessant hier sinds jullie allemaal aangekomen zijn:-)
