Hahaha DANN ! Must say, gave me a good laugh, you're "Three words : When I join" comment. But you know what ? Nothing wrong with that ! Not only do you control the site, but I think you deserve to decide when to start the club...but you must be warned : I got my eyes on the Black Leather Strap that we got two weeks ago, thinking about buying a SECOND Time Tank, that's right...and then do a lil' custom job, put the full black dial on my titanium bracelet and put the black dial with silver sub-dials on the black leather strap...

Com'on Dann, a lil' trip to Montreal won't hurt ya...I got connections for cheap hotel rooms hehehe...

Hey Dann, anyway to have an icon beside the names of the people online so they can be messaged right away instead of going trough old PM or else ?

Also, would it be possible to have another reply button but that would not quote the last message ? (like before but still keep the new one ?)

How about an email notice when a pm is in the inbox? Lots of people don't check the site PM Box as much as personal email, so maybe a notification will help them receive messages faster, or maybe an email preference option. You could have the registered user check an option in his/her personal section to have their email address shown/linked? Just a thought.

Can't send outgoing e-mails. Lost that feature in April 05 when we moved away from my server at work.

Ah Ha...I see, well, that explains that one...HAHA...I guess that means the members need to be here more and then they won't miss out. What about the email addy option next to pm link in the user's info? This way the address, if desired by the user, is shown so the other party can send it direct that way?

I originally asked for e-mails so I could send out newsletters, but the July 2004 one is still sitting in my draft folder, so that didn't happen. Otherwise I don't like to give out e-mails.

not give them out, but allow the user to have it visible if they so choose. Allow for either pm only, or the option to have the email addy visible for other means of contact. I use both, but some don't frequent the site as often as others and may miss an opportunity if they are looking for something...Just a thought, but the site rocks either way!!! The Spotlight Member is nice by far!!!

I know its been suggested before, but any way to delete the outgoing messages, that section is always full for me.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have those back buttons, on the bottom of the threads, like they are on top would help when the thread is long;

just a small suggestion, there is a ton of white space in each discussion thread and each members response. This is mostly due to the small statistics that show up in the far left column about the thread participant. I would like to suggest that this information be put on a drill-through (click-able) section or just put on a single line instead of it causing the entire response section to be extended down the page with empty white space. The benefit is that we will not have to page down through soooo much white space on what is sometimes just a single line sentence response. It will also make the flow of the discussion easier to read instead of constantly navigating white space due to the member's stats expanding down the reply space. Also, would like to see larger picture space/images on the discussion threads so that we don't always need to click into the small thumbnails. Love the site, just a couple suggestions.

I dont know about the others, but the forum is harder to read on the eyes right now, the extra space was needed I think.

If you decide to keep this Dann, can you make it so we can choose what way we prefer in our profile options.

How's that to the left then.

As for thumbnails. I'mm keeping those to save download time when someone posts 20 images in some threads.

Eric: Let's see what the common opinion is, and we can decide in a bit.

I agree with Eric. The extra space was easier on the eyes. But at the same time, it might just be us not being used to it.

I agree with many of the points Re; 'white space' mentioned above. And I won't take it personally if it reverts back.. please note I didn't expect all the white space to be removed - just a better balance/use-of white space. Perhaps having a extra line or two of white space after each members reply would work better and also address the 'easier on the eyes' symptoms. It just always struck me odd when someone would reply to a thread with a single short sentence and there was like 4-5" of white space below it to get to the next reply. Just my $.02 Another small suggestion is to indicate what the new collection item is when a member adds a new item to their collection. We see the name and how many new entries they added but when we click on it - it shows their entire collection and doesn't indicate which of the dozens of things are new. Thanks again for a great site. (note I added something just now to my collection... try and guess which item it is -- Dann no cheatin) :0)

10W40 Monster Dog?

Which collection link are you using. In the portal, the 'new' images will list all items just added. It doesn't segregate by user though.

I would much much much much much prefer to have the old style back.

I really liked seeing the little bits of user info under the user name/avatar. I can't understand how scrolling a little more to see the next response was taking away from the user experience, but that's just me I guess.

Now everything looks quite cramped and economical. Before it was relaxed and luxurious.

Again, just my opinion.
