Do you mean black as in carbon? There are a bunch of customs in this color out there but none straight from Oakley.

X under 5000 I'd assume. J didn't come until almost the time when they got rid of serials and were recycling excess frames from the X-metal/Black stock.

It lasted as long as the original label lasted, which was pretty much prior to Oakley putting on those "hermetically sealed" labels on the Ruby Juliets. I'd guess 8,000 or so, but no one really knows when they switched label types.

The one that I bought and gave to my nephew was found in his room when he moved but, he sold it thru me to an o-review member here.

Strangely enough I bid on one on ebay the exact same time that went down and scored it to my dismay. Looks like the seller (t_o) has one on ebay now too. Now I just need to get the ott's... :O
