That bidder just paid $1500 for something that was produce by a person of dubius charactor. Do we all really want something like that? I know they are cool, but...

Yesterday, I almost bought those glasses. I had my hand on the trigger, but I started thinking about the story of them, the mugshot of DF, ICK!! I just got sick.

I could not figure out how I would tell my daughter why these sunglasses were so special and rare. \

I understand why Oakley did what they did a little better now.

I would like to actually know the whole backstory to the arrest. It could be anything as you know anyone can swear out a warrant and have you arrested and if it's false ot your found not guilty it's in your record unless you have expunged.

Well said, Marcel! Copper Romeo over DF anything! Rare X-Metals trump rare O-Matter any day in my book.

That's just it. Let's talk about the Scelzi Romeos. Only the first 500 were signed by Scelzi. Even still it's hard to get and limited production. You can only get it from the Rolling O store at selected events, yet it's only worth retail. And you can find it for less on the Mighty "E".

When the Scelzi R2 first showed up on eBay, they actually went for a decent amount. Well over retail. But eventually people got bored of them and the price now reflects interest/demand. It happens with all hot items.

But yes, overall most would say X-metals are cooler than O Matter.

And the same will happen with th DF2..... give it a while and those people whom are paying over $1000 will be going WTF was i thinking.
You better love the frame for what it is.
There are plenty of die hards here, but i doubt any here would really pay $1000+ for them.
I feel that there are not as many Oakley collectors out there as we might think.
The DF 1 & 2 will be bought first as rare Oakley Sunglasses not a piece of art.
Is it fair to say that without this website the DF 1 & 2 may not carry anywhere near as much publicity/hype as they are currently having.

Can't really tell what something is worth by the material, Because some baseball cards and comics books are worth much more than there wait in paper. Some comicsbooks could strip a entire forest in there weight in imaginative worth.

However in real worth, on a desert isle, I would take the juliet over the gascan, because I could make hooks and sharp objects with them to survive. A 20,000 dollar comicbook? What?, maybe start a fire and some reading material when your evacuating yourself? But how long would that last until you got bored with it and lit another fire?

The DF2 gascan would just be about vanity. Unless the tribe of the area finds you to be quite spirtual looking in them to call you leader. But man you would have to look pretty damn attractive in them to pull it off. I for one would be on that nights dinner menu. So again I am left with the juliet as my choice of survival.

Nah when it comes to paper rocks and sissors the juliet is hands down my choice. Gawd lets hope it never comes down to that. I like them both.

the First 500 Scelzi R2's were not signed, The ones that are signed are a special request and Holly has them signed at the request of the buyer.

none were produced with sig's but if you asked Holly from the Rolling O when you bought them she would have them signed then ship them to you.

Even the shipping costs increase like hell:
Q: hi, please will you ship to the UK. i have a verified paypal account with over 400 transactions under my belt and please look at my amazing feedback, 99%...
A: Sure we'll ship to UK. The shipping price will have to be increased to around $60. Carl and David

The guy (if he wins) will look really dumb when he sees the 15 usd print on the package...

I did not ask Holly to have mine signed. According to Holly, the first 500 ROM's were sign as soon as she got them. If some were signed after that I don't know. Also, about 2000 Fives were signed.
