Im not sure if its okay to say this but my prize goes to Nike eyewear. I got 3 interchange sunglases at one time (2 for me and one for my gf =P). The lenses have a life span of one year! UNUSED!! the tint/topcoat peels off. Had oakley lenses peel off but it took around 2+ years of wear eheheh! I also had an arnette and it did the same thing! arrggg!!

I bought a pair of sunglasses from some cheapo shop back in college when I didn't have much cash to throw around. It took a week of careful use before the frames snapped when I tried to put them on. They made them so cheap that the plastic couldn't take the slight flex from going on my head.

I also bought a pair of fuzzy purple sunglasses a long time ago that sort of looked like fours with velvet on them. I think they cost 5-10 bucks, I have to admit those were pretty cool. :)

Smith here too. Cheap plastic and ugly. I tried a lot of brands to compare them with oakley (plastic models), adidas and rudy project (the new cycling stuff has nice functions) left the best impression and Smith the worst.

I didn't buy it, but I was less-than-impressed with some Brooks Brothers rimless shades I tried on a while ago. Felt shitty; I've no doubt they'd have fallen apart in a few weeks.

Killer Loop Revolt. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I liked my Arnette Swingers when they were made by Arnette, but once Bausch & Laumb and then Lux took them over, game over. They feel terrible now.

For me its Blackfly mainly because of poor quality control.

I ordered the glasses on their website and had to exchange it twice because of the damn thing was crooked when worn.

Besides a pair of FoAkley str8 jackets when I was 15(that shattered into a million pieces)...I tried on my co-workers Styles Eyes...It was intense how terrible they were.

Old article, but still proves why one should not buy knockoffs.

The first pair of shades I had came from a gas station. They broke just before Christmas. That same Christmas I got a pair of Frogskins. Only owned Oakley since then.
So I guess to sum it up....the worst pair of shades was the only non-oakley pair I have owned.

A pair of spy's that I got for bike racing from my team sponsor. I broke 4 pairs at the hinge (which could be fixed by getting a new pair from the sponsor). 2 of them broke in the lovely case provided too. I raced with smiths before I finally moved to oakley and they were ok, but I still broke a pair which is finally what made me go for the m-frame - best decision I have ever made. =)

I had some Smiths before, one of them had simply the most awful fit ever, very small lens with a 4 base...fortunately there are no photos at all of me wearing it. ;-)

Arnette Swingers, hands down. The lenses on several pair I bought back in the day when Oakley didn't fit larger domes all came out hazed with the spider lines all through them. Needless to say, when I lost one pair in a grocery store, which was the first pair I have lost in close to 12 years!!, I wasn't heartbroken. I called their warranty dept. and they required to send them to New York, along with $20 processing fee for the warranty, and they would repair or replace them. Screw that! Oakley is close, Oakley stands behind them, and they are worth the money, PERIOD. Love the colors of the Arnette Swingers I have/had though. A nice silver metallic frame, red color shift, green color shift, and blue color shift.
