hi,

i just want to know is the carbon fiber real or only a print on following watches:

- SKU#10-001 timebomb
- SKU#10-008 timebomb
- SKU#10-016 tiembomb eddie jordan
- SKU#10-042 gearbox
- SKU#10-071 12 gauge

i've got a TB2 and here it's real carbon fiber.

thanks for reply.

btw: a minute machine w/carbon fiber face would be very nice =)

They're prints. I don't think those have real CF in them like the TBII.

I don't know why exactly but I thought Gearbox and 12 Gauge were real. I'm a bit bummed to hear they're not.

I had hoped the 12 Gauge had real CF as well (despite the price not supporting it). Upon inspection it was clear it wasn't even though the colorway said it was.

Everything I have seen says the Gearbox is real carbon fiber.

It looks pretty crappy for the real deal. Maybe the super low grade stuff if it's indeed real?

i'm asking all owner of the above watches ... so who can confirm CF print or real CF? ...

status:

real CF = TB II, gearbox
only CF print = 12 gauge, TB's incl. EJ TB

OK?

From what I remember, 12 Gauge- the CF is the material the band is made from.

TB II is indeed real carbon fiber.

12 Gage face is a print I believe, but not sure. The black part of all 12 Gage bracelets is a carbon composite. Uses similar materials (the carbon) but not carbon fiber.

I stand corrected. Good to know. I always wondered why you couldn't see "fibers" in the "CF" band on the 12 gauge. and now I know that it's because "THERE ARE NO FIBERS". heheheh.

Awesome knowledge on this group man.
It's awesome.

Tried on the special edition Gearbox yesterday. Great watch, but the CF did appear to be only a print. It just didn't have the "depth" of the real CF used on TBII and Blade/Blade II.

Disappointing, but I still think it is the best Gearbox offering.
