Only thing I skip nowadays is the For Sale section. I like checking the Latest Purchases to see what everyone gets.

The only intimidation is how much everyone else is getting, that I can't afford.

I never used to follow the latest purchase thread, then I thought I might be missing out on seeing some cool stuff, so I skimmed most of it and now try and stay up to date with it. I agree with Dann though, the amount of stuff people have is scary! Makes me want to expand more, thankfully my wallet restricts it.

Most days I check the site evey few hours (unless work is busy or it's the weekend in which case its more like twice a day) So there isn't usually a huge amount built up that I haven't read. I don't always reply to everything though because it would take me ages but I always like to keep an eye on things! :)

i read up on the "latest purchase" thread at least once a day, so there really isn't too much to catch up for me. i was about to suggest a "latest purchase pt.2" thread, but then it'll lose the legacy of the original thread Adam started... it's all his fault!

Oi, hands off my purchases Bong! :) Just kidding mate but I think it would be a shame to break the thread up, maybe when it gets too huge there could be a way to archive the first 30 pages or something and have a link to click and view them. Just an idea...

Doesn't really hurt things the way it is. Maybe if it starts taking up 5 lines in the forum, we'll archvie it, but it's still acting fine I feel.

Dann, is there some way that the page number could show the posting dates when you roll the cursor over it? That might help when trying to look up old posts or pictures.

I could look into it, but I dunno. We'll see.

Indeed the amount of items that members here have is impressive.
But the amount is relative, as each collector has a taste for a certain model, for certain items, then what matters is each have a goal of having a collection to your liking.
I for example, half of my glasses are X-METALS, and just do not buy more because the price is too loud, and my wallet does not allow me more.
