Yeah, I agree. Logo looks weird, style looks weird, sole looks weird and colour looks weird. Looks like a fake to me as well.

Doesn't Oakley footwear usually have the logo on both the insoles and the bottom of the shoe itself?

Not necessarily. Some footwear like the Smoke Ring don't have a logo on the sole.

They look like the recent Vault Exclusive/MPH pair, which would explain the cheaper price.

Can anyone tell me if O ever made a Fire Iridium Polarized for the Eyepatch 2? I have a pair in Matte Black with FIP and Red Icons, marked with the code from Polished Black/Violet Iridium. They came with an unmarked O Polarized box & soft vault. Maybe a MPH version?

The photo is the etched area of the lens, I'm new here and haven't figured out how to post the other photos yet.

They look good to me, no noticeable differences from my Tortoise/Bronze Polarized version. But I've never seen another pair like this, just curious if I got ripped off.

Thanks!

Ladies and gentleman, a well known fake passed off as a prototype by a well known scalper:

Same collectirs say he's knowingly sold fake Pit Bosses in the past, so it's not the first time he's passed fake stuff as real.

It clearly states more than once that they are prototypes so I don't see the problem to be honest. Especially with all that feedback. Maybe I'm missing something.

I mean, can someone prove that it's NOT a prototype? It makes sense to me that Oakley would give sales reps a prototype pair instead of an authentic pair to go around getting beat up. I dunno.

The ear stem that is supposed to be carbon fiber is not.

Well obviously, yeah. Isn't that what a prototype is? Not the final project? I'm just saying I've done ebay for years and have never seen anyone with as much feedback as this seller have any reason to sell a "fake".

I had those "prototypes" offered to me for sale locally a few weeks ago. They dude had 4 of them. No, they're not authentic. Cheap lenses, cheap product altogether. Never understood why they had fonts that big. At any rate and on a similar note, why would Oakley build a prototype and engrave it with "1,500" for no apparent reason? funny stuff.

Simply put, it's a fake. We've seen that exact fake model everywhere.

Meh. you'd be surprised what sellers would pull these days, even the highly regarded, long-standing members. I was caught once before in such a case because I've been too trusting of fellow collectors. Don't always believe reputation. Go my instinct and research.

I gotcha. It's just like I'll watch youtube videos and some people will leave negative comments because they are too quick to judge without knowing all the facts. But then, there are a lot of children that watch youtube. If he's done this before then I'm guessing someone has reported him already?

Here's another one that's semi-local to me. Same one as BMCaps:

Yeah they were the chinese cheap replica. There are a lot of them being sold here. Notice the marking, screw, material used... 100% sure it is counterfeit marketed as prototype. Sad for the buyer. Current bid is $800+. Poor buyer when he pays..
