Hey, I just set this up tonight and am quite happy with it so I thought I'd share.

It's not quite a double wide (I'd even settle for a single!) but it was free, so I'll take it!

I am really nervous having them out on display though. If there was a break in, they could easily be taken. Oh well.

It's pretty cool. It has an Oakley feel to it, which is awesome.

It would be cool to see others setups as well

That's really cool & actually a lot more configurable than even the real Oakley displays. Keeping it dusted could be a chore though.

Cheers Todd. Yeah, dusting is gonna be a pain in the arse. Plus a proper Oakley cabinet has a lock, which is better than having them out in the open.

Nice black stretchline tower Fred!!

Ford - nice setup. Very professional looking. It definitely has an Oakley/industrial feel to it.

Fred - got any extra Stretch towers you can send across the pond?

I dig it Ford. It would look sweet on a wall all to itself. You could get carried away and paint the wall in the background a cool industrial tone of grey. And, I don't think a lock on an Oakley tower would be enough of a deterrent for a would-be thief so don't stress over that. Fred, looking damn good there mate. Very sporty looking collection you got going. I dream of a day when I have space to display my collection. Until then I make do with an antique chinese blanket chest:

The Pink Dartboards belong to my wife in case you were wondering.

Way to set that straight Rick. I bet the craftsman who made that chest could've never imagined that it would be used for that purpose. Looks great though. Old world meets the Industrial future!

Ford,
That looks really nice mate, even better that it was free.

Fred,
Yours is nice as well, but I thought you had more than that, are some of yours in storage?

Rick,
Even though you are struggling for space, you have an ace setup, you can display them when you like,or when you want to just stare at them, and then just close the doors for security reasons.
Also, it must cut down on the dust as well.

Carrie,
You need to setup a WANTED post in the For Sale section, to make sure everybody who has them for sale sees it.

Rick - I always like seeing your setup. The way you hang those microbags up in neat little rows is very impressive.

I like Rick's setup as well. Makes me want to do somehting similar. Mine get soooo dusty. I need to look into getting a locking display cabinet myself. Maybe I'll get lucky, christmas is coming.

very nice guys, very impressive!
i've yet to get any kind of diplay case for my Oakleys. right now they're all nestled in their original boxes in a cubby closet. i get bothered when my Oakleys get dusty so i'll definitely need a closed case with locking doors.

Pretty sweet setup, boys! It's cool to see Rick's organized setup again, too. So is there a directory, or does each hook have a label? How do you know what's in each bag?!?!

Actually Lex, I cheat a little. If you look at the 5th pic closely you will see a little "Cheat Sheet" at the back right with the glasses grouped in packs of 4 representing the rows on the door. I had the order memorized at one point, but it gets all messed up everytime I buy a new pair. Fred, the chest is almost 200 years old and the hooks I use do not harm the wood at all, they have little bits of sticky tape on them that comes off easily.

well that and i thought you were the kind of O fan who could memorise the location of all his oakleys that are hung in the doors of a Chinease cabinet.
I guess i was wrong.
Im gonna need to take some time away from the site to deal with all of this.

(wow i cant believe i typed all of that while keeping a straight face)

You guys are crazy. I also wondered if Rick memorised the locations. But I can understand the need for a cheat sheet.

But to answer your question Lex, it was used in a hairdressers as a Loreal product stand, I think. My dad's removalist/shipping compnay has the new contract to deliver new Loreal stands and we take back the old ones. Loreal doesn't really want them back, so I scored this one.

Its awesome, but living at my parents house means I only have one room to put my stuff (my mum is this nazi type woman who has to have everything her way) so I am really running out of room to put my crap!
