But I think he still likes and would like to keep his identity. Seems like he thinks that most people acknowledge him very well.. otherwise he would've change his style of listing to avoid being caught...

Maybe he thought nobody would notice his same style.

Could somebody please enlighten me as to why he got the suspension from ebay? Yes, he has high prices, but that doesnt seem like an offence worth suspension. He still has 100% rating. Dont get me wrong, I dont think I would buy from him, I wont deal with private auctions. But seems kinda heavy handed from ebay considering some of the other stuff I see pulled on bidders.

I have seen 2 items pulled by a seller (not this seller) within the last hour of the end of the auction, with the reason as "item broken; no longer available for sale" or something like that. Only to see it relisted a couple of days later. It seems that the bids were not high enough for them, and the seller doesnt want to use a reserve auction. REALLY ticks me off.

Or worse, they shill bid.. i.e. create a new eBay ID and bid on their own listing to drive the price up. People need to be professional about how they deal online. Realise that there are benefits and risks alike and not try to cheat the system.

Maybe he got suspended because he put all his collection up for sale for US$1,000,000 =)

Another possible reason why he got suspended is that he didn't pay his Ebay's fee. Afterall, listing buy it now auctions at 700 a piece can be quite costly.

Yeah, & I think it would be harder to collect for a seller that far out of the US

In a word...no. I have a custom pair and aside from the JPP serial number prefix, they are identical. If you must have a pair for purely historical purposes then I suppose a higher price could be justified but $1000 is just silly.

Maybe it's people like these that we can no longer find what we want at retail level. Where in the world are these people in the supply chain that makes them so adept at getting the limited edition easily and in mass quantities to resell?

Of course I'm not blaming the occasional seller here who just needs to sell part of their collection to tide over a financial crisis or to fund something else worthwhile. In fact many of us on the review site have been nothing but helpful and I applaud all the efforts you guys put in to help fellow members.

Arbitrageurs like what we witnessed are just bad news. I had the same problem with getting world cup tickets and want to know how well these people sleep at night knowing that they are causing misery to others because of their avarice. I don't see a single instance of value-add in the supply chain. :(

There are a few x-metal items that are really outragous right now. I was watching an orginal pair of ruby juliets and the price shot up over $100 in one day. I have noticed that the bidders usually are very low in the feedback catagory. I am think people are just running up their own auction.

Trying to milk the cow before the re-issued rubies start shipping in a week or two?

Is summer the time where prices for shades hit record highs on ebay?

I hear ya, we all do overspend sometimes...look at what my single tower cost me...A truck for $24,000.00, 2 taxi rides at $50, a greyhound bus ticket for $28, an airline ticket home for $127, a doctor's co-pay for $45 (3 visits), insurance deductible for $500, and the actual cabinet for an undisclosed figure. That was one really costly tower, so a grand for some Juliets is cheap when I now think about it...

I also find it very very coincidental that on those exoticly priced items there are *always* bidders who have *just* registered and have zero feedback.

The chance that a relative of the seller himself is bidding on his own item is very big. A friend of mine just filed a complaint to e-bay on this matter and all items of the seller who had the same way of working were removed. So yes, it does happen, and I'm sure it happens a lot!

Disgusted by this I will however keep on looking for nice Oakley gear ;-)

What's to stop him from registering yet again with a new ID? He'll probably change is MO(pics/descriptions etc.) this time as well. Does eBay have the ability to block specific IP addresses?
